Abram: BINGO! I have the Arms, the ability, to protect myself, avoid danger to myself, and neighbors. my home surrounded with homes of Nam vets, very well knowing who acted for their protections, and which political party acted for their own pleasure.
Abram: It does not seem to be very difficult for Americans to kill other Americans by, "Each year, more than 17,000 Americans are killed by drunk drivers
OK - Great - let's outlaw automobiles - fine by me
actually over twice as many deaths by Automobiles than by Firearms in the U.S.A.
But then anyone can buy a car - similar to a gun, yet more people buy a car before a gun and just don't comprehend they are propelling 3000- 4500 pounds of steel down a road at high speed

Abram: This is a very big victory for the American public, this Republics ability to protect themselves from intrusion, from harm, ACCORDING TO OUR GUARANTEED RIGHTS.
"In its second major ruling on gun rights in three years, the Supreme Court Monday extended the federally protected right to keep and bear arms to all 50 states. The decision will be hailed by gun rights advocates and comes over the opposition of gun control groups, the city of Chicago and four justices..."
"The ruling builds upon the Court's 2008 decision in D.C. v. Heller that invalidated the handgun ban in the nation's capital. More importantly, that decision held that the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms was a right the Founders specifically delegated to individuals. The justices affirmed that decision and extended its reach to the 50 states. Today's ruling also invalidates Chicago's handgun ban."

There are certainly going to be a lot of laws, legislation of states, from one end of America to the other, that is overturned. This is going to be great, and I wonder what the pregressives will do to get the crime rate to stay the same, or increase. They can't live without a crime causing a problem, and they voluntarily gave up their arms to protect Americans.
I started to watch the video and as soon as I saw the troops and tank I clicked it off as those two things really have nothing to do with the second amendment.....
#1 The right to bear arms stems from when we needed LOCAL militia in our country to fend from a monarchy.... #2 Then of course it was also to defend against our own government... #3 Back in the day it was to protect your home and family and livestock from perhaps Natives, and animals....
Back in the early years of European immigration to the new world it was needed for these and to feed the community....
And it is easier to add a new law than it is to take one away....and I would bet that this right will be here for a very long time yet to come...

well don't say i didn't warn ya when you break out in civil war in a few years
For the one that said he has lived all those years in civilian life without a gun and he is still alive, what would you say to someone like me who came home at 2 a.m. to 2 guys who attacked me as I went into my apartment because they wanted my money?
Had it not been for my weapon they likely would have killed me.
Is it the fact that you personally have never been a victim of crime reason enough for guns to be banned? What would happen if you became a victim of crime?
What if your wife or child was a victim of crime, would your desire to protect them change your desire to outlaw guns?

The progressives are fighting back in different and new ways. More recently, we've seen indoor and outdoor firing range operations challenged and shut down in my area for untrue safety citations as well as wrong and political reasons too. Take away accessible places like this and things could get dangerous for untrained gun owners. Sad.

I learned, has a boy, gun safety, when a bit older, safely driving an automobile. Learned respect, and responsibility while using either, has well as the knowledge that others were doing so of the same respect, responsibilities. Funny how, has the morals, and values that helped teach that respect were eliminated death, and injuries increased in every area of life. Almost seems like there might be a connection.
