russianbandit49: why would anyone need an non automatic ak47.

I can't think of a good one unless maybe some farmers need to protect their hedge rows from being invaded by floods of ground hogs.... We don't need ak47s

I just don't get it... Why would you feel the need to defend yourself with a gun... To me that sounds insane..

Intent and what happens are not always the same

Guns are tools used by immature, weak minded people.

American civilians would be a lot safer without guns.

How many disputes end in homicide because people have a gun in their homes?

Disputes should be settled man to man - woman to man, without the use of a lethal weapon - which any 6 year old can fire.

To me this is a sign of a weak society and immature culture where people have to resort to violence to settle disputes

Isn't it easier and safer to defend yourself with a gun than anything else?

Check your stats, in the states with right to carry permits the crime rate has declined, would you want to try to rob someone if they might be carrying, or if someone around them might be?

I don't think Americans can grasp that Europeans find private gun ownership a very strange concept to understand. It's like something out of the movies or the wild west to us. conversing

Germany and Austria import just as many arms into the U.S. as the U.S. exports to other countries.

The well-regulated militia referred to in the Second Amendment was, in fact, the 18th-century equivalent to the U.S. Armed Forces. Other than a small force of paid officers (primarily responsible for supervising civilian conscripts), the United States that existed at the time the Second Amendment was proposed had no professional, trained army.

Clearly, a well-regulated civilian militia is no longer a military necessity. Does the second clause of the Second Amendment still apply even if the first clause, providing its rationale, is no longer meaningful?

According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, on average, more than three women and one man are murdered by their intimate partners in this country every day.

Of all the murders of females in 2002, family members were responsible for 43%.

Eight in ten murderers who killed a family member were male. Males were 83% of spouse murderers.

Almost one-third of female homicide victims that are reported in police records are killed by an intimate partner.

In 70-80% of intimate partner homicides, no matter which partner was killed, the man physically abused the woman before the murder.

Abram: This is a very big victory for the American public, this Republics ability to protect themselves from intrusion, from harm, ACCORDING TO OUR GUARANTEED RIGHTS.

"In its second major ruling on gun rights in three years, the Supreme Court Monday extended the federally protected right to keep and bear arms to all 50 states. The decision will be hailed by gun rights advocates and comes over the opposition of gun control groups, the city of Chicago and four justices..."

"The ruling builds upon the Court's 2008 decision in D.C. v. Heller that invalidated the handgun ban in the nation's capital. More importantly, that decision held that the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms was a right the Founders specifically delegated to individuals. The justices affirmed that decision and extended its reach to the 50 states. Today's ruling also invalidates Chicago's handgun ban."
banana applause cheers
