ooby_dooby: That was a chilling story. I'm glad you got out of that jam alive to tell it. I looked at my mapping program at that part of Idaho and I can see how wild it is. I had a totally wrong vision of Idaho, I thought it was flat and nothing but potato farms all over the place.

If I was going to go to a bar, I'd pay more to go to a bar where nobody has a gun.
I don't like to be around drunk people.
I don't like to be around people with guns.
I definitely wouldn't want to go to a place where people are drunk, and carrying guns.

i feel so sorry to hear that you was shot two times, anonymous, it is too cruel to use gun to shoot someone, i am afraid of seeing that & cant action, unless we use gun to kill the murderer to stop his action of killing s.o, i think your wish hv no gun in usa bar is also difficult for implementation, as weapon sale business is also one of the strongly developed industry branchs in usa which bring many benefits to the owner. There is a lot of profit from it, that goes to the government.
It's the same with the alcohol industry; If you own a distillery in America, you cannot get into it, unless there is a government official is present.
Distilleries in America, have two locks on the door; only a government official can have both keys.
I believe the purpose of allowing guns into bars, is to get a knee jerk reaction; and, have guns voted against by masses.
Arming drunks, is bound to cause a problem that will make the news, and that problem will be used to attack our 2nd amendment rights, outlawing guns for sober people too.
I took an NRA course when I was about 12, and one of the first things they taught me was... "Guns, and alcohol don't mix."
Since I've been shot by a drunk man, for saying... Have a nice night, I have seen the truth of that statement.

Yes you are right, we should never use the gun in any situation to kill someone, but will definitely use the gun to stop (not kill) the crazy man who is using his gun to kill many innocent children in the school, or many people in the crowd, or ourself.

i m glad ,giving u such a fun ,but this is serious.before some years the police in greece ordered the personel to leave their firearms at the police stations after work ,for only one reason.the 67% of killings by shoting .had commited with service's guns.either as domestic accidents ,or on the streets by lost their nerves policemen.

I was with three friends.
We were drinking a beer om my friend's doorstep, waiting 5 minutes for him to get home from work.
His landlord told us to leave, and shot three of us, while we were walking away, because, as we were leaving, I looked over my shoulder, and told him to.... Have a nice night.The second time I was shot, was in Hells Canyon, 7 Devils, Idaho.
I was hitch-hiking in the middle of nowhere, 25 miles from the nearest town; and, two guys made a U turn to pick me up.
One of them had a gun, wrapped in a sheet, on his lap, they were talking about where they were going to take me; like I wasn't even there.
As we drove over a bridge near some campers, I opened the door, grabbed my stuff, and jumped out of the truck yelling.... HELP!
Before I hit the ground, the guy shot me in the hand.
It turned out that there was a gang of people, not just the two who picked me up.
I was traveling with thousands of dollars worth of drugs.
I had given some to a car load of people who gave me a ride; they went ahead of me, and told their friends I would be hitch-hiking into the canyon.
The gang hunted me for hours with spotlights.
People in the canyon were afraid of them; and wouldn't let me call for help on their CB's.
I was hiding under my camouflaged army surplus blanket in the bushes; and moving in the darkness.
Finally I found someone who let me use their CB; but, the signal wouldn't go through the canyon.
The man who owned the CB, asked me to leave; then, he drove out and got the sheriff.
The sheriff drove me out of Hells Canyon.
Because of the drugs I was carrying, I couldn't give him an accurate description of how to find the guy who shot me; or, the people who hunted me.
I hope it worked out better for the next guy who went through there.
U.S. 95 in Idaho, is one of the most beautiful stretches of road in America.
There are still mountain men dressed in furs, who trap, hunt, fish, and pan for gold, in that area.
There are also people, who will shoot you for what you have; and, toss your body into a river, that will carry it into the wilderness, where it is unlikely, you will ever be seen by human eyes again.
