Hi All !
ok, here's My question, and its loosely based to the woman out there...and im curious as to different views, or interpretations

Why respond to an email, with lets say obvious eagerness to show you have lots of interest, asking questions, interests..etc
then they don't respond until a week later with excuses like iv been really busy, yet they have been online..lol, Simple question and answer here, and a bit of honesty goes a long way, why not say youve changed your mind, or give sum reason, to your brevity in lack of response, seriously i would rather, hear the truth like im talking to one whom is close by or whatever...rather than just not responding to questions all of a sudden , i myself find that rude......or do others see it as playing the field..???

How do you vote woman !! ;)

Think you get the same situation in reverse skippy??

Unfortunately the use of the internet in getting to talk/know somebody and the certain amount of anonymity that goes with it means that some people think it is OK to be just plain rude.

I'm like you, I would much prefer someone to say, "sorry been talking to someone for a while and we are going to see how it goes but thanks for your interest - and good luck in your search"

What's wrong with that? Doesn't take much effort or am I the only one that went to the June Dally Watkins school of etiquette for young ladies. laugh (or the not so young in my case rolling on the floor laughing )

Thanks for reply..!!! hmmm, it seems i was too pushy, in asking why havent you responded back in a week, its seems eagerness to know someone better, is a crime these days as well, punishable by death by email, ...ooh and by showing my dissapointment im angry..is that school good for anger management..??

but can anyone tell me if someone asks you questions and u respond, whats wrong with expecting sum response in a week...i don't see that as...pushy,unless of course there is sum serious reason they can't respond......

It would seem either someone else has grabbed her interest more, or she is not sure how to say, thanks but no thanks at this stage.

Thanks is my take on it - been there, done that myself - but I do know that saying no, rather than leaving it up in the air, is better all round and so much nicer and polite too.

I am having a similar issue right now! Am not sure where I stand - it is very very frustrating and annoying and just plain wrong. I have met this person too....moping

I am having a similar issue, its like ok hang around in case this doesnt work out with the other person. It seems like im only making an effort and im being played. If someone really likes as a friend and more or as a friend with view to more than they will make an effort to see you an a busy time or respond to an email.

So very sadly I think Im being played and i dont see a bright future in your cases either. So self respect people ! If the others like you they will make an effort, our times will come :D

Totally agree Quest .. we've all had people in our lives who WERE "just that into us" and they ALWAYS found time to call, visit whatever - no excuses needed conversing

You speak the truth - and don't I know it! Denial applies for the moment though - cos I do tend to be an optimist!

Yes Serene, it is the Capricorn who showed so much hope! moping

I have sent an email to him spurred on by skippy's thread and responses, which I was putting off, and I now dreadedly await a reply, or not.....blues

I think we are all talking about people that we've got to know a bit. If you are referring to beginnings then ofcourse dont hang around but sometimes it takes a week or 2 for people to reply to your requests.

Actually I just had a reply from an amasing girl but shes in Coffs HArbour NSW so that will be interesting.

Seems to be part of internet dating and been there, done that and left with no answers but you just have to move on but it bugs ya not knowing what happened and the time and effort into that person, even after meeting them....
