In response to: For the Atheists, Is there any kind of un-natural power?
I have been thinking about this and the answer is yes. There's the one that does strange things to laundry - which manages to hide odd socks in the wash basket, washing machine, drier and sock drawer despite the most diligence of looking and care.
Sampe1967: For the Atheists, Is there any kind of un-natural power? whether it is of a God, a Devil, a witch, a magician, necromancer, or what ever he, she or it may be called. what do you think?
Sampe1967: so which of these is asier to believe. Darwin's theory on the origin of life or the bible's account of a deity that spoke things into being, with an intelegent design?

i'm not so insecure that i feel there is a need for any 'higher being' or some kind of 'magic' guiding everything, life is what it is and i accept that. you will find atheists and agnostics have thought long and hard about what they do and don't believe in. it isn't a view that they have accepted from birth or that someone has 'sold' them as a comfort blanket. they are not heartless people that don't care about anyone, they tend to be well educated a fact which tends to really piss the usual bible enthusiasts off.
Conrad73: Origin of Species,NOT Origin Of Life! If you want to discuss it,please get it right! And Science is definitely not your strong point it seems!Besides that, you have a very low opinion of your Own God,if you think He's going to break the very Laws he's set down to govern the Universe!
Un-natural? Do you mean supernatural? Un-natural implies a negation of nature, whereas supernatural implies rules outside of nature.
In either case, science is concerned with natural philosophy, not the mumbo-jumbo that the priest class insist is their sole demesne. Whether you classify this as "un-natural", "supernatural", "paranormal" or "quasi-significant" the answer will have to be no in my case.
"Don't you believe in flying saucers, they ask me? Don't you believe in telepathy? — in ancient astronauts? — in the Bermuda triangle? — in life after death? No, I reply. No, no, no, no, and again no. One person recently, goaded into desperation by the litany of unrelieved negation, burst out "Don't you believe in anything?" "Yes", I said. "I believe in evidence. I believe in observation, measurement, and reasoning, confirmed by independent observers. I'll believe anything, no matter how wild and ridiculous, if there is evidence for it. The wilder and more ridiculous something is, however, the firmer and more solid the evidence will have to be." - The Roving Mind (1983), Isaac Asimov
To surrender to ignorance and call it God has always been premature, and it remains premature today. - Essay "The “Threat” of Creationism" Isaac Asimov, New York Times Magazine, 14 June 1981 reprinted Science and Creationism (1984); M. F. Ashley Montagu (Editor) .

Well Darwin theorised a theory of evolution which in so far as I am aware still holds true with all the advances in science including gene sequencing. If you wish to go into creation vs big bang well you must then ask what made god.
I am at a loss as to why the church fights science on topics that have such strong evidence to counter them. Just look back to the where the ideas of a flat earth and the earth being the centre of the universe got them.
