I think its healthy for guy's to do some kind of exercise, lots of happy endorphins being released through the brain, far better than spending way too much time in the boozers..

Martial arts is not just about being able to beat people up. It teaches you to have greater awareness of your body and mind; it's a good exercise to stay healthy and your body flexible even as you age; and teaches one self discipline.
Besides, how many times are you going to have to fight vs. someone with a shotgun? We're not in the Wild West you know.
Nothing...was I supposed to think? It is Sunday after all...day of rest. Non-thinking day, veg day, mindlessly watch TV day, case of 24 day, sleep in the lazyboy day. Silent fart day (chases away unwanted company).

Little old city i live in , you dont take on a man with a shotgun ,,you take him on then iff he thinks your worth it after he loses he comes back with a shotgun ,,am not making jokes ..
Police in liverpool have in the last 6 yrs got things under control and have zero tollerence for trouble be it with or without guns .
Even door staff to protect themselves have even been re trained in diplomacy because others know there not always with friends ..
Best just to buy a guitar and sing songs iff some will let yea
I've got no problem with guys practicing martial arts - just be safe about it. I remember a long time ago, my cousin was into Karate (still is a teacher many years later) and he was fooling around - got me right in the face with a hit - it was not a pleasant experience.

thanks a lot ;)
definitely good! Even macho. Practicing is different from obsessing about the whole thing and everything related tho. Can't stand a guy who talks about a sport in great lengths.
I have no problem with it, I think it takes skill. I am impressed that men and women take it on.
But I once met a guy, from CS in Virginia. He came from Texas. I do not know if it was because he was from Texas or because he was going to start a school, in his martial art form. He had too much attitude for me. I prefer a man who believes in himself with out boasting. I was glad when that date ended.
