Back to Bangladesh(my mother land) after living more than 12 years in the USA. It looks like i am lost in my own country. Has anybody ever had that kind of feeling?

Yes. I have, after living abroad for nearly 15 years. I am back here 20 years now and still feel like a foreigner.

Yes.
I come from a long line of mixed unions and am of such mixed roots and culture, I make the dog look posh.
No one land is my motherland and everywhere I'm a foreigner.
Its one of the reasons why a site like this is so good for making new friends. It never ceases to surprise me that I can find more common ground with people from all over the world, in a way that I can't with most folk who live in the same village as me.

I'm lucky in that the Irish and the Scots are so interlinked with our celtic roots that I feel just as at home in both countries. But the world and the people in it have certainly changed beyond recognition which sometimes leaves me feeling nostalgic and a wee bit adrift from my roots.

I can relate to that too. I'm of British descent (2nd generation) but have been born and lived in Malta all my life. My mentality and outlook is certainly different from most locals'.
Strange as it may seem, I tend to feel 'foreign' amongst Maltese, and 'Maltese' amongst foreigners.
been back almost a year after 5 years in London and if it weren't for the economic situation in the UK, I'd be on the first plane back. I don't fit in my home country.

London is certainly different from Malta for sure. Having said that, I enjoy London as a holiday destination, but would certainly not enjoy living there permanently. Too hectic for my tastes.

Hell yeah. When I moved to North Carolina, I thought I was south of the border due to the number of latinos. Happy to be back in New Hampshire where I don't have to put up with them
