Well, my ex that I was married to 41 years ago wants us to get back together. We've been divorced for 40 years. We are very good friends, and I love him dearly as a friend, but I couldn't be in love with him.

Yes ..very much so...unattractive and humiliating. What makes it worse is that you can try to explain how their behaviour is effecting you till you are blue in the face: YET they are always on the defense and seem CLUELESS. Best thing is to just walk away.....because it will always ever be about THEM.
