hollyberries: The Holy Land comes from The Bible and declares we are to take care of the Jewish nation. Palistine was a city of Isarel. They decide to take it over as a country and wanted to own the Gaza stip which is the center of shipping oil in or out. Isarel took heart to that and the rest is History. Altough the Bible states the end of the world will begin with a Holy War. That was about 40 or 50 years ago. Conrad had stated that what the palistinians did cause their own problems and had other choices so they created their future.

What would we do if one state tried to seperate from the US? Probably a cival war as from the rest of the country and we would be under the same circumstances. The Holy War is to last 100 years to the end of the world. Historians are guessing 2034 will be the date for that, give or take a few years. Holy war is called that because it is sacred ground as where jesus walked and he was a jew. The first chuch to some, was built their, thus: Holy War. Correct me if I am wrong but took a class in college and this was diccused years ago. Before the end of the world we are to expect Floods, Famine Hurricanes unexplainable tramatic events in the world and evilness of people.
Read the news and this is beginning to happen.
I am no religious fanatic, but the last chapter of the Bible is pretty scary and tells of these same happenings at the end of the world. I practice no one religion, per say, Do I beleve it?. One has to think, though. Holly
A Dear friend of mine Silver Birch would like to thank you for such a well said, thought provoking post. Bravo!!!!!thumbs up

From the Christian Science Monitor

Could the Palestinians get the attention of the Israelis – and the international community’s support – by leapfrogging negotiations and simply declaring a state?

Lets concider the impact.

That is one option Palestinian leaders are contemplating as they mull over how to respond to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s latest proposal for keeping the Obama administration’s iteration of peace talks going: Israel would agree to extend a partial moratorium on settlement construction for 60 days in exchange for the Palestinians’ recognition of Israel as a Jewish state

This is where the idea of simply declaring Palestinian statehood and negotiating backwards from a fait accompli comes in. Maen Areikat, the Palestinian Liberation Organization’s chief representative to Washington, says it is just one of several ideas that surfaced at last week’s meeting of the Arab League in Libya

Palestinian Authority Incitement to Kill Israelis and Destroy Israel: A Powerful Subverter of Chances for Peace
Unfortunately, the Palestinian Authority (PA) through its schools, media, mosques, and officials' statements daily incites Palestinians to attack and kill Israelis. It also continues to claim Israel is illegitimate and should be wiped out, along with the belief that this will happen in the future. Naturally, this undermines any possibility that peace talks will succeed.

Not only is the PA failing to build a mass base for a compromise two-state solution, it is stoking the fires of intransigence, of mass opposition to any such outcome. Most of the Western media, determined only to present the PA as moderate, never reports on these statements and activities. Fortunately, on the eve of direct talks, Palestinian Media Watch provides a systematic and comprehensive report on this issue which can be read HERE.

Pointing out these realities doesn't undermine peace. Quite the opposite. Only if these problems are confronted will peace be possible.

You really think Israel would tolerate a State like this along their Borders!doh

The State Department on Tuesday characterized Netanyahu’s call for recognition of Israel as a Jewish state as the Israeli leader’s offer for keeping the peace talks going, and called on the Palestinians to respond by coming up with their own. On Wednesday Palestinian officials called on the US to produce a map that would show where Israel envisions its borders with an independent Palestine.

This ought to be good.

A cynical and mistrusted offer

Yesterday the New York Times featured a "news analysis" that contended that the United States made an overly generous offer to Israel to extend the building moratorium in Judea and Samaria. (Barry Rubin responds here.) Today the Times follows up with an editorial that contends that the United States made an overly generous offer to Israel to extend the building moratorium in Judea and Samaria.

The Obama administration has made a very generous offer to Israel that should give Mr. Netanyahu more than enough cover to prolong the moratorium and keep the talks going. In exchange for a modest 60-day extension, the administration is promising Israel increased military aid -- fighter planes, missile defense, satellites -- and other security guarantees. It has also promised not to ask for further extensions and to veto any United Nations Security Council resolutions on Arab-Israeli issues during the one-year negotiating period.

That package is, if anything, overly generous. Israel will surely be looking for more sweeteners as part of a final peace deal. We can't understand why Mr. Netanyahu hasn't grabbed it.

As I pointed out yesterday the administration, in two years, has given PM Netanyahu no reason to trust it and the timing of the offer is blatantly cynical. Mistrust and cynicism are two reasons that make Netanyahu's hesitation somewhat understandable.

I wouldn't trust the present WH-ADMIN as far as I could throw it!
