Someone twice than my age... (415)

I usually don't make too many comments here but I have a cousin who married a much older man... she is 46 now and he is 74. He has always had back problems and uses a wheel chair. Then her mother had a stroke and now she cares for them both! I don't see how she does it! Anyways all I can say is I hope this gentleman you are seeing has an incredibly large retirement fund that he will immediately put your name on! lol! Other than that, I say follow your heart.

lorrie29: listen dont worry what people say if your happy who cares what anyone else thinks i was with a guy for 11yrs and he was 19yrs older than me we now have two beautiful children together small towns forget after awhile and if they see it bothers u what they think your only giving them satisfaction so dont buy into that..your mother will accept it after awhile mine did.best of luck

JSuburbia: Well Morgan you know my attitude as far as age. I don't think it should matter (as long as both are of legal age). But yes, there definitely is a double standard in that women are actually encouraged more and praised more if they are with a younger man and men are critiqued more so if they are with a younger woman. I don't agree with either, and just feel that people should be able to date whomever they wish as long as they are both of legal age.
Morning I do think its down to the individuals concerned and can only go by my personal experience. But could not help but notice the different attitudes to a woman posting a thread like this, than when a man has done the same thing and been ripped to pieces for it.

Yes this is my pic, thankfully i have been blessed with my mothers youthful genes, but i am 60 and proud of it. I love the knowledge and wisdom being 60 brings and each new decade is a new and exiting chapter for me. I am truely thankful for the great gifts god has bestowed on me...........
