kidatheart: I'm good, thanks, how are you?

That's me as a youngster, never figured I'd make it on to an album cover.

I understand what you're saying, very well, although never really had any issue with age myself, within limits. 10 years difference either way is no problem, and have dated up to 15 years younger, and older. It all comes down to the individual, not a chronological number.

Hey H! Fine lookin boy you were back then!

For me 5-10 years is OK, 15 is pushing it but the closer the age the better. A much older man may want me to settle down (oh no!) grin

Yeah, I guess I was a handsome lil' devil back then.blushing

The years haven't been so kind though, and I got my tail stuck in a door a while back, just doesn't have the same snap it once did. Can't light candles with my breath anymore, all I can muster is a few puffs of smoke, so not so much fun at parties either.

Gettin' old is hell!sigh

Just you WAIT Henry Higgins, just you wait! Well, as mentioned on another thread, according to this radio station I was listening to the other day, the ideal age of a man's mate should be his age divided by two plus 7 years!!! That leaves us old ducks in a bit of a quandary! Who the heck are WE supposed to date??? sigh I guess toy boys are our only option???? laugh

Sorry An

Just back again here. Hope you doing well sista....

Anyway, An
would you mind to asked people to read the thread from the beginning? and see one by one on people reply?...its to let people who actually want to come to your thread understand fully about the case? and can be more "wiser" to say/write to your thread?...

Have a great day.

Dee

an2ahan: hi...

im 34 yo, and im dating a 67 yo man from england. we've been seeing each other for a while, and we r happy with each other. we fit well, and want something serious...
the problem is, my mother seems not like the idea...she's worry with my bf's age, n hate to think im too young for him. as i live in a village, people also talk about it, n says some 'negative' things about the age difference n culture difference.
just some opinion please...
how to make it works...
i need more confidence to work it out better, since i know i want him too, as much as he want me ...:)

Have you been to the UK to visit him or has he been to Indo to visit you....conversing

I would not laugh mate. You have a right to go out with who you choose, and anyone who has the opinon that you shouldnt, is a problem they have to deal with.If you both have something to offer eachother, then there is no reason you shouldnt be happy.
I have no doubt,if you met someone around your own age, and it "clicked",you wouldnt hesitate either.cheers

I think it depends on the individuals concerned, and really it is their decision what and who they prefer. Peple shouldnt be put in little boxes, or be railroaded by presure from others.

If you are ready to settle down; good. Have you considered your future with him? When you are 45yrs how old would he be then and would you be prepared to sit beside him then if he is ill and can't get involve in any activity with you or would you abandon/desert him then?
Things regarding the matters of the heart can be devastating for both individuals. So, though you are seeking external answers I think the answer should come from you. You can tell us better. People would talk; whether you have done good or bad they will always talk. That is the human being. What do you think. Please I would like to know your decission.

The heart wants what the heart wants. Just make sure your head and heart match. Then go with it. What do you REALLY have to lose?

I would not laugh.

Its people choice.

For me be better to think about our own life, then laugh on our self for what happen to us(self). learn from best, who is the best? is people around us, people we talk to, people we see, people's life and mind- (social attitudes and behavior, sorry if i wrong). Just my opinion.

cheers
