I've lived nearly my entire life with that knowledge about myself. After the first few decades you become numb to the pain. Then you're free to realize (and believe in) your true worth, to yourself.
I've even been told right here that I have nothing to offer anyone. I just laugh. Some folks might be amazed if they knew how "valuable" knowing me might prove.
Never doubt yourself. If someone can't see your true value, it's their loss, not yours.

To Imso, I agree with you!!!I never doubt myself bec being a human being every person has value..to those ppl that says to anyone that he/she don't have value, then they're not sure of themselves has no values...for me values==RESPECT....
The only way someone can make YOU feel inferior is if you let them do it..those are true words.
I grew up with a step-father that ruined my self-esteem from the ages of 9-18, was told many mean, cruel things that weren't true. Then was married to a man that did the same..I let their words have power and mold me into a shell of who I really am and took everything they said literally and felt worthless, unlovable and so empty inside.
Once I realized these two people were toxic in my life and got away from the situations, only then did I truly come to realize how important it is to truly love myself and to stay away from those people that would try to extinguish my self-esteem and worth as a person.
I forgave myself for believing them and I forgave them for their actions and shortcomings as well...to err is human and I was not about to let them destroy me!
Everyone has value, everyone is lovable and everyone has meaning and purpose in life. Stay away from those that would hurt you...realize YOU mean something and have worth...do things to reaffirm your worth and do things that make you feel good about yourself.
It may take many years to get past feeling this way, but work on it a little bit each day and maybe talk to someone you trust or go see a therapist and work through your past emotions...and come out stronger and better in the end. Do NOT let their words destroy you or determine who or what you are...you are way BETTER than that!

Superficial and artificial ,callous, shallow, among other traits have become predominant in today's society ..we can either decide to go with the flow or swim against the current....keep on swimming ..
