my neighbour used to have a fruit tree that reached into my backyard, if I walked out the door at night... I'd get the begeebuz scared out of me every time... you have my heartfelt sympathy.

remember to give yourself a break and do something totally different, it can be amazing how different things can look afterwards

Thanks MBR I ride as though everybody is out to get me, dont trust anyone behind the steering wheel! And it doesnt help when kids in the back seat see the dog, it is mummy, daddy look at the dog...
the dog loves the attention, but I dont like the drivers distraction!
And it will be fun, just to escape the city, let alone visit friends

funniest incident with traffic and the dog was:
we were pulled up at traffic lights after about 2+ hours riding, pretty relaxed.
A four wheel drive pulls up beside us, the window winds down.
next thing the fella leans out the window and woofs at Gabby!
She turned around, looked at him, looked down her nose and sighed. As if to say, if thats what amuses you....
all the humans cracked up, the dog wasnt amused!

The dogs are too clever for that.
We used to have a little Jack Russell that would get in the car, jump into the front seat and hit the electric window button with her paw until the window went down - then she would hang her head as we drove along. One of the kids in the back seat thought they would open the window to see what was so good about it - and got a face full of dog slobber blown back into their face.
