But seriously,sometimes it's subconscious..maybe a bad experience which can hurt someone's confidence.
Could be a combination of thing.
One of my friends..was very depressed,he never felt like doing anything..he was depressed..and what it turned out he needed was some INSIGHT..ON WHY HE WAS BEING HELD back...why he ws depressed..
and once he got that insight...he was back into the swing of life.

Really? In my career I see many children with unnaturally high opinions of themselves borne out by nothing except doting parents. 1/4 of all university freshmen in a recent study tested as clinically narcissistic. I prefer humility.
