SilverBirch: No investigation of decision-makers for Operation Cast Lead: B’Tselem has raised serious concerns over Israel’s policy and actions in Operation Cast Lead, in which at least 759 Palestinians not taking part in hostilities were killed. Two years later, Israel has indicted soldiers in only three incidents regarding harm to the civilian population (one for killing a person, another for using a child as a human shield, and the third for stealing a credit card). The political echelon and senior military commanders have not been held accountable for their responsibility in setting the policy that led to extensive loss of life and limb and property damage during the operation. Israel reported that more than 40 investigations have been opened. Some of them were opened a year and a half after the operation ended, and the Judge Advocate General’s Office has not revealed how many have been closed
Tee's you off that you're not privy to that INFO?laugh

SilverBirch: The previous posts were from B' T Selem. An Israeli Human Rights group.

Does this prove "Spot On" of the charge of "collective punishment"?

I think it does.
Doesn't matter what you think!

SilverBirch: Settlements are illegal in the eyes of the international community.

The treatment of the Palestines by the IDF is illegal in the eyes of the international community. Collective punishment.

SilverBirch: Israel is facing growing demands from senior UN officials and human rights groups for an international war crimes investigation in Gaza over allegations such as the "reckless and indiscriminate" shelling of residential areas and use of Palestinian families as human shields by soldiers.

With the death toll from the 17-day Israeli assault on Gaza climbing above 1300, pressure is increasing for an independent inquiry into specific incidents, such as the shelling of a UN school turned refugee centre where about 40 people died, as well as the question of whether the military tactics used by Israel systematically breached humanitarian law.The UN's senior human rights body approved a resolution yesterday condemning the Israeli offensive for "massive violations of human rights". A senior UN source said the body's humanitarian agencies were compiling evidence of war crimes and passing it on to the "highest levels" to be used as seen fit.

Some human rights activists allege that the Israeli leadership gave an order to keep military casualties low no matter what cost to civilians. That strategy has directly contributed to one of the bloodiest Israeli assaults on the Palestinian territories, they say.
Guess who dominates that Body!rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

mnowsa: you know wow, i really admire your passion and dedication for the state of israel..i really do! Anyway, hope you are having a good time here. I also hope that, since we both worship the same almight lord, one day you, like me, also pray to almighty that no more killing is there between israel and palestine..no more animosity between them so that they can live side by side peacefully. i wish you all here a very happy and healthy life. salom to all of youpeace:

Aww thanks, that is so sweet, and I wish you shalom too. By the way, it is not just the arabic leaders and the terrorists Israel has to worry about, but also the 'rank and file' - the citizens who take all Israel has to offer - employment, health care, protection, services etc., but go about crime against the Jewish population. That is why I post those articles. So as I said, it is not just the Politicians and the terrorists with ammunition, but the criminals, stone throwers, knife stabbings, etc. But thank you for your kind sentiments.

springnight: Thanks for the link..So it seems the connection between Jewish people and Israel is justified by something deep in their blood (known as DNA), do you agree on that?

Read what I posted about the DNA!
Besides you never answered why Israel shouldn't have the right to determine who is an Israeli Citizen, while any other Country can!
Really does not surprise me,though!

It's such a shame when people don't stay but even more of a shame when they don't like the answers to their questions. Ah well. Any more for any more?
