trish123: Curiously Pedro, I can remember the pattern of the trim around my pram, from sat looking from the inside out, but Ive no idea how old I was
I can remember my play pen, like you do not know how old I was. But had to be really young. I have always had a good memory. Easier for me to remember the far past than what happened seven hours ago
pedro27: overall we can't remember when we were born. my point is we change with time, it's msyterious so it is
I was having this discussion the other day, its like after a mum has a baby, the pain of birth soon gets forgotten as its overtaken by the wonder and beauty, same with the baby, the trauma of birth and what went before go away - we dont exist with the actuality, we only have memory - the same with grief, that too gets easier to bear with time

Yes, I can mine too - I wholeheartedly wish I was still there from time to time too
The furthest back I can remember is being around 3 years old and learning to read sat on my darling mum´s lap. I´ll always thank her for giving me the joy of reading books at such an early age.

I have one memory of being outside the house with my father. As to how old I was, I don't know. I do know it's the first place my parents lived in after they got married. I think I was around maybe 3 at the time of that memory

My younger sister is 18 months younger than me and I have a vague memory of standing beside my mother while she was trying to get the pram, with my sister in it , up the three steps that led up the garden path to the front door of our house. So I must have been less than 3 years old.
Yes, i can actually! I remember my mother telling me not to touch my lip. I was in the back seat on the way to the doctor's. My dog had bitten me and the skin was hanging off.

My family moved house when I had just turned 2. I remember quite a few things from the first house. I remember being surprised when I became aware of my thoughts being seperate from the outside world and that they were visual and colourful and just beginning to become verbal.
I remember being in a cot rather than a bed, my nappies being changed, potty training, asking who the man in the house was (it was my dad, I think he was mortified and embarrassed and my mum told me I was being silly).
I remember my mother's resentment of me in my earliest memories. I think my sister, as a first child gave them something to do together and enhanced their relationship, (they have pretty much always been devoted to each other), but when I came along, my sister and my dad pair-bonded and my mum was left with the drudgery of a baby that she didn't want. She would sometimes tell me that he wasn't my dad, that he only belonged to her and my sister.
I remember asking my dad about his amateur radio equipment (I'd worked out who he was by this time ) which was on a cut down, turquoise, formica-topped table wedged into a built in cupboard on the landing with a wooden chair in front of it. I still have the table.
