For the past five years I've dined w/two female friends every Valentines Day. We had to attend a mandatory seminar and spent our evening together, dining. Both were friends w/my ex and we all had a laugh about it. Ever since my ex & I invited them to go out to dinner. This is the 1st VD since the divorce and we kept up the tradition, w/o the ex. BTW the ex knew as I'm not into games and she was okay w/it or so I'm told.

Sent and received a couple of Valentine hello's and well wishes, but no I didn't actually ask anyone to be my Valentine, nor was I asked. Actually don't feel much in the romantic mood anyways - life has some hurdles that I need to sort through first, but friendships and laughs are always good for the soul.

If yes, how'd it work out?
If not, why not?
I did! She said yes!

I was tempted to ask a very nice man to be my valentine, but something held me back. so I send him the link of the VT poem I placed here. personally....I normally go right after what I want...that's my style... but I have this feeling it would not work with this person.
so I wait to see what happens.
and in the mean time......I sent every nice bloke on CS a flower or a card....got tons of mail and flowers back...
and stupidly forgot one special member....so I am thinking about a nice 'will you be my friend' card....to send it to scotland on the 17th...

What does it mean if someone asks to be your Valentine? Where I grew up, there was no such Valentines day. What should you answer? My male friend asked if I will be his Valentine, if just for a day. I said him 'happy Valentine', but he seems not to be so happy with this, because he did not answer me.
It means he loves you, wants you to be his lover, partner, wife permanently but thinks u don't reciprocate his feelings but is so mad for you he would settle for just one day

No, he does not love me! He is a friend for most of the time, but sometimes the male nature just gets in a way I guess!

Congrats to you and your lady!!!
We all want it...I had someone ask me from another dating site, we've been chatting nearly everyday for a few months... but I have always told him I enjoy his "friendship". I tried to answer without hurting his feeling as I'm not attracted to him. I've not heard from him since.
