For the past five years I've dined w/two female friends every Valentines Day. We had to attend a mandatory seminar and spent our evening together, dining. Both were friends w/my ex and we all had a laugh about it. Ever since my ex & I invited them to go out to dinner. This is the 1st VD since the divorce and we kept up the tradition, w/o the ex. BTW the ex knew as I'm not into games and she was okay w/it or so I'm told.

Sent and received a couple of Valentine hello's and well wishes, but no I didn't actually ask anyone to be my Valentine, nor was I asked. Actually don't feel much in the romantic mood anyways - life has some hurdles that I need to sort through first, but friendships and laughs are always good for the soul. If yes, how'd it work out?

I was tempted to ask a very nice man to be my valentine, but something held me back. so I send him the link of the VT poem I placed here.
personally....I normally go right after what I want...that's my style...

What does it mean if someone asks to be your Valentine? Where I grew up, there was no such Valentines day. What should you answer? My male friend asked if I will be his Valentine, if just for a day. I said him 'happy Valentine', but he seems not to be so happy with this, because he did not answer me.
