Conrad73: Why shouldn't I be allowed to post on the different Threads,or even several Posts on the Threads after I sign in? What sort of a weird Idea is it,that I could only make one answer, the have to wait out nine posts to add another answer! And what are your Motives to want that Change?
Soon they'll have a post timer come up on the screen saying when it is ok to post again

JimNastics: No they haven't. Not one person has stated why this change would not be good, or make it worse. I understand that people are generally set in their ways and reluctant to change, even if the change is to everyone's benefit. Unfortunately, that is human nature. However, no one has stated a concrete reason, why this change would not be of benefit to all. Instead, they have denied the problem. OK, if there's no problem, then the change wouldn't make any significant change, would it ? But, if it IS a problem (which it is), then this change would help the majority of people on the site.
I explained why I didn't think post blocking was a good idea from my experiences on pof. As for bumping a thread up, I've only seen that done recently on the Glasgow meet thread and I just don't see a problem with it. Forum flooders do irritate me, but although there was a spate of this a few months back, it just doesn't seem to happen enough these days to warrant a change in the forums, imo.

Fair enough G
I was thinking more on the lines of blocking someone from reading your posts? I have seen it done before and it saves on any unnecessary spiteful comments!!! But i agree with the bumping issue
GingerBe: What you seem to have here, is what you have had for some time, a personal grudge against one, or maybe even two posters, that you percieve, are hogging the limelight.
That's another statement that is wrong. In fact, some (but not all) of the worst offenders are people that I truly like otherwise.
My suggestion IS for the good of all. To make things more equitable. If there's ANY grudges, they are against me, for being fair.

Yeah, I said in my original suggestion, that blocking would be a less favorable method. I agree.

What??? Is there some secret conspiracy theory i am unaware of??

But, it is happening a lot, an excessive amount.
Having a grudge against someone for being fair, does not make any logical sense.
Is it the people who go in the scrabble threads and the like?
What, or who is it, that you are classing as forum flooders here?
This site is divided into secions for a reason. It means that if you want to see posts in a particular category then you can go to that section, and the ones you want are invariably on top.
Only in one section do all the categories mix and the most used/popular threads be on top. That is in the "all threads secion"
The answer to your dilemma then, is to stick to the sections, and you won't be bothered with seeing posts from other sections/categories that you don't want to see on top, there.

If I believe one of my Threads is not getting the attention I believe it deserves,I am free to post to it again! i wouldn't dream to have my Thread stay on Top at the cost of other posters! If it isn't important enough in the Opinion of Members, other Threads will rise to the top!

Unfortunately, people do not always behave logicly. An unfair person might hold a grudge against someone who stood up for fairness. Someone who doesn't fold due to standing up to bullying. There are many 'reasons' an unfair person might hold a grudge against a fair person.
It is not me classifying anyone. It is by site definition.
It is against the forums rules to name names.
I've never been in scrabble threads. So, I have no idea what goes on in there.
Who they are, is not important. I'm not trying to get ANYONE in trouble. I'm suggesting change for the better. What is important with regard to this thread, is that the actual powers that be, see my suggestion and determine how easily it can be enacted. Enacting it has no negative influence, only positive....for all.
What I would like to see is that a person is required to give the country where they actually reside. There's some on here who aren't within 2000 miles of the US, but claim to be.

In response to: As it is, I am fed up with all the not-so-veiled-insults, when you didn't know what was going on.
You completely correct...I dont know whats going on, and i asked for an explanation to a accusation to someone. I respond on what i read...regardless of who it is from.
