Ocee35: Is she cute? Your aunt, not the kraken.

My aunts? Mostly popped their clogs, the few remaining are utterly bonkers. It runs in both sides of the family.

You might be better off with the kraken, eh?

jac379: Write, wright, right, see, sea, where, wear, were...

They're typical dyslexic mistakes and maybe as many as 10% of the population have some level of dyslexia.

I am perfectly aware of the differences, but I still make those mistakes, time and time again.

My proof reading doesn't catch them all and I proof read from the beginning of my post every time I finish a line, or a paragraph.

And I thank you very much!

Dadude62: isn't it that you have "too" much time?
Right you are, and it's also typos, not typo's. That said, typos don't bother me(I write to all kinds of great people, with all different levels of spelling & typing abilities & could care less), contrary to what a couple of people(or maybe it was one person w/2 profiles? - has said on here).
I called someone out(who is no longer a member) for their spelling errors and their use of British English b/c they claimed to have a master's degree and to be from the U.S. I only did this when they continually ran over opinions that differed from their own in whatever forum they posted in- and it got to be so extremely frustrating & annoying, that even decent posters were banned at times, b/c of what they posted to counter the aforementioned.

Also, for those who text a lot, it can be easy to forget that you're no longer in "text" mode when typing on a forum.

Imo - respect in a person's post is far more important than spelling.

all the typo's? I know i've got to much time on my
hands..right? In any case here's a tip.
Firefox browsers have a spell checker that runs
as you type. {we now return you to our
regularly scheduled program}
Sometimes I am, but then again, I make plenty of my own. doh doh

Laura25: You are making a good point here, Frank.

But I don't believe that OP has a go at dyslexics or non-native English speakers.

You can always tell a difference between all ^these (above) categories of CSers and just plain stupidity and ignorance. Almost always if you care to look.

And although it doesn't bother me when I see the same person making the same dumb ignorant misspellings - dyslexia it is not - ignorance and laziness, and disrespect --

it just speaks volumes about this person's character and *intelligence*.

You are dyslexic and you have issue with others who have not been able( In your eyes) to conquer their failings in punctuation, grammar or lazy spelling?
I would have thought that someone who has dealt with such an issue on a daily bases at some point in their lives would have nothing but compassion, sympathy and tolerance for those not so fortunate, even if they are just "lazy writers"?
Your attitude seems to be a one of "I am better than you because I have conquered it",despite the fact that you own recent post history displays examples that you may well consider as being "ignorant, lazy and disrespectful".
Some people like nothing better than to put others down while at the same time attempting to elevate themselves into something superior.
It just looks silly when they ignore there own failings on the same subject.

You know the other day when we argued? You really pissed me off so I might have just a teeny weeny bit deliberately put on my snootiest voice and just smidgingly, maybe, sort of, deliberately wound you up. snooty

I should be ashamed, but I'm not. grin tongue

But I am sorry.
