jac379: I'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean by "the brush is too wide".

I will explain.
Can't say gladly – there is too much anger in your post – but I will. Regardless.

jac379:
I don't understand how challenging you calling people stupid, ignorant, lazy and disrespectful feeds prejudice.

I thinks its the very use of those words that feeds prejudice.

here it is -

If you keep insisting that there is no such a thing as

stupid, ignorant, lazy and disrespectful people,

you lump them all together – the ignorant-and-lazy group with people who are struggling with learning disabilities (yes, not learning differences, but disabilities – face it. A matter of perspective of course – and your perspective is as good as anybody else's).

jac379:

I have noticed that when I challenge your posts, you rebuff and leave. You never discuss with me.

You've "noticed" and "I never"?

ROFL!!!!! What a low trick that is, Jac.

Quote me, post a link to support your wanna-be-the-reality made up statements.

Don't just make these angry blurts.

jac379:
How can I listen, if you won't talk?

I, in fact, did talk. thumbs up
Go back to my post and read it.
As for a discussion – blah - I don't believe it's possible with your angry personal attacks and false accusations.

Learn an art of debate.
No dyslexia can prevent from being a decent human being.

And please don't bait me any more. I have work to do.

Hey Conrad...it odd that you should mention FireFox. I tried the Beta ver 4 , and didn't like it, so I went back to ver3. Like it better.

Then this morning, I thought I'd try the new Beta ver11 of Google Chrome....and being someone that has tried all browsers since way back when...this Chrome is fantastic (so far).

example: I can go to search a subject, all I have to do is "speak it", and it pulls it up, without typing a thing! Same with Youtube...speak "youtube Elvis Presley", and poof...it all the videos of the subject pop up on the screen.

You might like it...give it a try, anyway...

I'm sorry, you're right. Your post did make me angry.

I didn't claim that people don't behave in a lazy, ignorant, stupid and disrespectful way. My objection was the assumption that people who make spelling and grammatical mistakes are those things, assuming they aren't dyslexic.

For one thing there are many forms of dyslexia. I have read and researched and I can't see how one could recognise all forms of dyslexia from a forum, simply because one is dyslexic and one has read up about it. It would take a full psychological assessment by someone trained in that area to do it.

It's thought that as much as 10% of the population are dyslexic and many people are unaware of it. I wasn't aware of my learning differences until a couple of years ago - I thought everyone was seeing the same as I.

It wasn't meant to be a low trick that I accused you of avoiding answering me and you're right again, its not every time, but I do feel that if I challenge you on something, that you rebuff rather than debate. If that's my anger, I apologise again, but I think there maybe an element of something else, I'm not sure what.

I think very often, people who grow up having to deal with the prejudice surrounding learning differences come to believe that they are indeed stupid, lazy, naughty, blah, blah, blah. A way of deflecting that can be to dish out the same.

Personally, I feel accusing others of those same traits is no more functional than it is having experienced them. It does not promote awareness of learning differences, it merely serves to promote the ignorance surrounding it.
