In my opinion our president should not be elected to a 2nd term, not because he is so much worse than the other elected officials, but because he is no better than them. We need leadership and he just dosen't have it.

Hi Country Boy...have to say I like your OP...very diplomatic...and you're right, this president doesn't have it...I do think a lot of the "mindless hate" as you call it is not so mindless....Obama has made some very big mistakes IMO...and as far as ranking past and present Presidents...he lands at the bottom of the heap for me..

Perhaps so but I'd be willing to bet that ice cream parlor would actually be able to deliver on the Vanilla. I don't have the same faith where President Obama's concerned. He's a great campaigner and orator and that's about all I've seen.

I don't hate the President. It is tough job. I just don't think we placed the right men in the job in 2008. That said.....consider the effect of his administration for the past 3 years. Are things improving?
I think most on main street would say that they are the same or worse, than three years ago. I would say that the banks that could not fail, the insurance firms that could not profit and the car companies that could not compete with foreign competition......all are saying things are pretty good right now.
But that is not America. Suddenly President Obama is on the stump for American individualism and how it has gotten the country moving in the past economically. For American innovation in small business. Well he is the biggest endorser of the government bailout and big government in our countries history.
America is for freedom and fairness. What is fair to a government bailout? A small segment of the country reaps government hands out in the billions to the expense of the majority in the country. Then Washington sets the SBA loan standard up to the point were very few small business qualify. What is fair about that?
Big business gets a hand out and small business got a slap in the face from administration. And employment in our country is in the private sector....that is were it is made and sustained.
Then take the tax cuts. Are not rich American, still Americans?
Why because of their wealth, should they be taxed greater than other Americans. And face it, taxing the rich is not going to solve the government overspending. What is fair about that?
We are at the point were we rationalize the unfairness and justify it for a few powerful and elected. That is what they have asked for in bill and policy. It is times that it ends.
