I absolutely, completely and categorically deny that I take granny naps.

I usually doze off if I'm listening to music and reading something.Sometimes after eating dinner I sometimes doze off.It can also depend on how much sleep I get the night before.
I know if I'm traveling as a passenger in a vehicle I get sleepy and will sometimes doze off.Something about riding in a vehicle makes me tired.

Ccincy:Since I've retired, I find that I cat-nap instead of sleeping a full night. I worked 12 hour rotating shifts for 12 years, and the clock time started to have no meaning for me.
I now go by the position of the Sun to tell time.
The only clock I have in my house is on my computer.

I wake up all hours of the night.Sometimes I can have something on havey on my mine and have trouble sleeping.Sometimes I can fall right to sleep.I usually fall to sleep during the day cause I'm bored.

I did get into the habit of napping in the afternoons on my days off from work a few years ago but found I couldnt then get to sleep at night. So now just stay awake all day unless I am at work

I just can't sleep when I'm traveling, no matter how long the journey. I once did a 27hr bus journey without a wink of sleep.

I did that too and payed for it later.There were too many noisey people on the bus.Besides it's pretty hard to get really comfortable anyway cause the seats are to small.Or you end up with the person sitting next to you snoring.

Since my op. I wake really early [5:30 sometimes] and I think it's an age thing in my case too. 40 winks at any time are good for you, so don't feel guilty.

I try to have a nap or two during the week. I love it, it's away of
turning off the world, then waking up refreshed. I also light incense and have my pets nearby.
