Being single for quite a while though can make you enjoy your own set ways without upsetting anyone.
Ideally I think if I had someone, they would have to still have their own goals, house etc. I don't want to be held back of my own goals.

Faithe: Not into " friends with benefits" its a full time relationship or not at all for me.
Yep me too, although I must admit one of my relationships morphed into that after we realised it was not going to work, so we just enjoyed that until we found a real relationship.
But otherwise, I am just not that kind of girl.
Larf75: I totally agree. I can't do fwb or one night stands or casual flings. I want the real deal and I do believe that when you really like someone, you do what you can to be together and you compromise.
