DavidAdelaide: Not hard to spot the LNP fanclub - they've been brainwashed by shockjocks and the likes of Andrew Bolt. Anyone who supports Tony Abbott is a moron.
I agree with Bolt on the anti desal thing in Vic, we have more water than we know what to do with, even letting it out of Eildon in case the heavier stuff falls when it usually does in Spring. But hey, lets build the worlds biggest desalination plant. Andrew Bolt was going on about daming the Mitchell or Macalister rivers because they flood and cause so much insurance claims from flood damage. Oh no, the Greens were rabbiting on about climate change and how it would never rain again. 3 floods later and all that fresh water just keeps exiting the Gippsland lakes out to sea while the monster Wonthaggi desal plant continues on day and night at any cost to be completed on time for what? t o sit there for the next 50 years as a massive white elephant that could have built 20 hospitals, a high speed 300km/hr train to Sydney and still had change left over to give everyone in Australia a free water tank. Really looking forward to paying $400 year for the next 30 years to pay for the idiotic folly.
Other than that, I only agree with Andrew on his opinion about the Carbon Tax.

Just another leveller to bring us all down to the same low level of poverty.

Many thanks to my union and the NSW State Govt for removing $650m from my super fund (about $300k for each member) as we would have had too much money to retire on, higher fuel taxes, drink taxes, cigarette taxes, new tax because of the floods, increased water costs to support the desal unit, power costs jumping and more to come with carbon tax.

I was thinking about buying an electric car but the cost of electricity will make it uneconomical. And disposal of the batteries and the exotic materials will be astronomical. Looks like my 40 yo Land Rover is the best enviromental option as at least everything is recyclable.

And I agree that Kermit's spelling is bad. The word is spelt "fatalistic."
