Would you remove your cap so I can see your halo?"

I just watched RBT for the first time. I have never felt so angered by a programme in my life! It appears its a crime to be a human being these days. They should line us all up against a wall and shoot us!

RBT stands for random breath test. Its an Australian show. Ordinary citizens getting done for supposedly being over the limit. Either drugs or alcohol. There was one man who was just over the limit. He had been to a wedding and he says he had four drinks over the space of 6 hours. His wife was in the car with him and she was pregnant. Watching this man, who showed no evidence of being drunk, get taken to court, fined, loss of license, etc just galled me. How many drinks can a male have before being over the limit? Its just revenue gathering. I know this can spark a big debate about drinking and driving but I just think people get charged with this offence when physically they are very capable of still driving. JMO. It just makes me angry at how much control we have put on us. Im in a bad mood. Alot of us work damn hard and still live close to the poverty line. If we try to do the right thing and stay home and drink and perhaps play the stereo, Its not long before noise control is beating down our door. Im just so over all this effing control!

Nanny's at deaths door and so are we. We have also just introduced zero alcohol for under 20s but hey, lets not talk about the issue of all these suped up cars that are actually killing our teenagers. How many drinks is .05? A sniff? People who show the affects of alcohol, fair enough, but a big man who to my eye, showed no signs of intoxication just sucks.
I think Im becoming an anarchist.

I sympathise with that but you are not alone. My Father killed 4 people while driving drunk, including himself.
You arent attempting to understand what I am trying to say. Im not going to repeat it. Its my personal opinion. Thats all. If you had seen the programme, you may have understood what I mean.

Life, to me, is getting more and more difficult and as we get older it sure doesn't get any easier.

Thank you for listening to me rant and rave. You have made me feel somewhat better. I have seen you many times on the threads and not realised what a compassionate person you are. I think I will go to bed and hopefully wake up in a better mood. Your family and friends are lucky to have you. You're anangel

There was a time when I was young I would agree with you, but these days with a lot more cars on the road it is just not worth it?
These days if I am going out and having a drink I take $100 just for taxis or stay at a hotel the night, its just not worth it, I drive on the road for more than ten hours per day, the people that drive on our roads now shouldn’t be allowed on the road never mind have any alcohol in them?

whowhatwherewhen: Im sorry I replied to your earlier comment the way I did. I had no right.
Im truly sorry for what happened to you and your family. My Father was the one who committed that horrible deed, taking four lives in the process. It was and still is a horrible thing to live with. We all feel guilt and always will and a modicum of hatred for him as well. I wish you and your family well.

Awwh Sweetie,

I hope it makes you feel better to know that you are not alone.. stuff happens, and our strength is the way we deal with it.. I am sure you will feel better in the morning..
Anyway, if we were all openly honest... we are all dealing with stuff that makes life just that little bit tougher, instead of easier.. I dont think anyone could put up their hand and claim the perfect life..
But, as you measure your grievances as they come and go, just think of how lucky you are too.. because we have choices... some people dont even have that...
Cheers hun. rose rose rose

In my past life I was a smash truck driver for over twenty years ... One thing I learned to loathe in a short amount of time is drink drivers ....

The misery, carnage, debilitating injuries and death these people cause is unbelievable .... all because they got behind the wheel full ..

I have witnessed many a drunk driver sitting and crying (I'm sorry .. I'm so sorry) in the gutter or the back seat of a Police car ...

Its just gut wrenching sickening ... and I think the RBT should be out more and more and more ... and here's why ... SOME people STILL will fill themselves up with GroG and without a thought for the rest of the community will get behind that wheel and play Jeopardy with innocent woman, children, men, teenagers, aunty's, uncles, brothers, sisters, and on it goes LiVES ...

In short DrunK Drivers sicken me to my core !! ....

For YoU serene <<<<<<<< peace
