It's not the fact she's a woman she just doesn't have that powerful force in her to be prime minister material. I thought Rudd was doing ok as prime minister and never understood why they got rid of him, just made matters worse. Tony Abbott wouldn't make a good prime minister he comes across as girly type thumbs down So doesn't look too bright for Australia. I would like to know what are we paying these pollys for cause we aren't getting any feedback except the price rise in everything. All I see is we the people of australia paying dearly. mumbling frustrated

It is a shame that we have a Govt that relies on the wind for what to do next.

$475million to buy back the Garrett approval for Gunns logging in Tassie.

$1billion for the Garret Pink Batts Scheme.

Every 4yo will receive 15 hours per week in kindergarten (oops, not enough places so we will pass that one on to Local Government so they can raise their rates to provide this by 1 Jan 2012). Oops, Councils are going broke but this is their mis-management and not the Federal concern because they can't keep up with our legislation.

$600million for Wong to buy the water rights during floods, and then tax us to pay for the flood damage.

Must not ignore more apple producers going under again (NZ supplies), chicken producers competing against Thailand 'healthy' imports, cattle producers have to pay extra $200 per beast to truck to abattoirs, carbon tax about to put everything up (streetlighting expenses rising by 16% next year and increasing further each year = rates increasing each year).

I am now searching the real estate pages very carefully looking for a cave surrounded by deadwood so that I can survive my few remaining years. Unfortunately, the only places that come anywhere near this description are very close to Canberra. Unfortunately, the price tag for this "rarely used but immaculately maintained abode" is slightly more than my stripped superannuation can afford (many thanks to my union and its support to the ALP).

If Julia is serious about global warming, she would let us kill some kangeroos so we could wear some warm leather clothing to reduce our reliance on fossil-fueled energy.

I'm sure if Abbott had to cow tow to the independents and greens to get his legislation passed, he'd be doing exactly the same thing.
Who knows, we may end up with more Katter's, Oakshot's, Winsor's and the like.dunno

You are so right ! but if they can wrest the power from Gillard and co they would be mad not to have an Election ,Tony Abbott is not liked but who else is there to take his place?? maybe Joe Hockey if he can streamline himself a bit as he has a warmth about him which the public might take to.........I dont know dunno

One thing I do know is Labour must go !!!!! they stuff everything up as usual dont know why but throughout history they have never known how to handle finances.....its the same in the UK.

Labour go's ! greens are history and so is the Carbon tax.applause

I didn't mind labor introducing Medicare, hate to live somewhere like the US of A where they can't even get their heads around a tax based medical fund.

I think there was a push here to try increasing the tax burden by a 1/4 of 1cent in every dollar to introduce a denticare dental tax based scheme like medicare. I wouldn't mind paying tax for something like that.

The coalition introduced GST on all your purchases and services you use. This has meant a lot of wealthy people like businesses and the like are now having to pay tax instead of nothing.
I'd like to see payroll tax dropped and GST raised to grab even more tax from the wealthy. Social security payments could just be raised to account for the increased prices.

She should be between 30 inches and 34 inches at full adult height can't ride them but can drive them in harness. grin

Can take them to shows and breed same as a large horse just on a way smaller scale. Can keep more of the little ones cheaper to feed than the big ones.

Medicare was introduced for the poor unfortunate 1,000,000 who did not have private health insurance. These were mainly those on social security (pensions or unemployed) who did receive free medical care but occasionally had to contribute or those who were so healthy that medical expenses were the very infrequent expense. I now pay 1 1/2% of my income for this 'free' medical service. Dental Insurance? I pay my own private insurance to cover that but I am sure that the Govt wil not be able to make it less of a burden. I pay because I know the condition of my teeth. I feel the cost is too high but another 1 1/2% of my income would be much too high.

GST is another issue. Having been in retail and seen the 'sales' tax on the items as high as 33%, the very low 10% we now pay is a big gain for us consumers.

Hang on, I have just been slugged with a "flood" tax. The Carbon tax has not hit me YET. doh Wrong there. Like before GST was introduced, costs are going up now in preparation to the Carbon tax. Local Council electicity costs are massively increasing with maintenance charges (50%) and supply prices (25%) in the last 12 months. And who will have to pay more in rates to cover street lighting expenses? Can we turn them off during parts of the night to save costs? No, some poor sole wandering the streets in the middle of the night (don't ask why they out there in the dark - ahhh, sole) might walk into a tree and sue the responsible authority for turning out the lights.

So let's go GREEN. Have to move to Tassie to get the hydro power. Hang on, if everyone goes there, the demand will go higher and there will not be enough. Okay, build more dams for hydro-electricity. doh No more dams in Tassie as the Greens have stopped any more dams happening. Okay, we will have candles for light.doh That means cows for tallow doh More greenhouse gasses.

Only one solution cheers
