pedro27: quack quack , may he rest in peace with bin laden and sadam

Gadaffi got what was coming to him, some people seem to forget the murder and the horror he imposed on his own people, caught like a rat in the sewer where he belongs, and if his own people shot him, nothing less than he deserved.

Albertaghost: The breach as described by Blix on March 7 2003 when he stated that Iraq had not cooperated immediately and unconditionally? That was accepted by all and, as it was Iraq's 'last and final opportunity' it was acted upon.

Blix never claimed it was a breach he merely stated that they were reluctant to cooperate.. they did however finally give access to designated areas of interest.

The UN did not accept that there was a breach of the ceasefire and they did not approve US claim for 1441.

Boban1: Muammar Gaddafi "a tyrant and madman," as seen in the Western world , made Libya became the richest sovereign country in Africa and completely prepared to introduce a new currency in oil trade with the Islamic gold dinar-and no interests loans. This would mean that the West will no longer be able to buy oil from African countries with speculative money.

Louie agrees with you, I think?

A YouTube video of Minister Louis Farrakhan taking President Obama to task over the war in Afghanistan and the bombing of Libya is making its way around the Web. In the video, Farrakhan admonishes the president for turning into someone else. Farrakhan says, "We voted for our brother Barack, a beautiful human being with a sweet heart, and now he's an assassin. They turned him into them."

He also raises the issue of killing Saddam Hussein over weapons of mass destruction and knowingly sending young men to fight a war based on lies. "You talk about a man killing his own people. When you lie to the American people saying that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. When you lie and then take innocent young men who come to serve their country, and send them to die in Iraq and Afghanistan, over lies, that's a murderer in the White House." Ouch.

Farrakhan is visibly angry at Obama's leadership of America's intervention in the crisis in Libya,
particularly his focus on bringing down Muammar Qaddafi. He says that people do not know Qaddafi like he does, and he's a decent man.

I just can't see Farrakhan endorsing Mitt Romney though... dunno laugh

bodleing: Reports coming from Libya claim Gaddafi was seriously wounded and later died from his injuries.http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-15387872

Having just woke up from a deep, cold-induced sleep, I am just hearing this and taking it in.

For what it's worth, my three-penneth:

I grew up hearing about Gaddafi and his methods. I remember the outrage and massive heartache PANAM 103 caused, and I remember the funerals and sobbing people on TV.

The death of anyone is an ending, but sometimes it can be a beginning, and the only good thing that I feel Gaddafi gave to his citizens was a sense of patriotism and pride in their country; hopefully, that good part of his legacy can be built on and the country can be re-built proud again without too much interference from other nations.

I nearly took a job in Libya, a couple of years ago, working for a Libyan/US-owned oil company. The Libyans I met during the interview process were courteous, polite and professional, and I have no doubt the country has a lot to offer the world.

chris27292729: Sent a letter to Obama and to all future US presidents,to restrict your country military, inside your borders,it will a blessing for the rest of the world.-

I would be happy if the U.S. wasn't the police department of the world. All this money we spend to bomb and then rebuild the infracture that we just bombed just doesn't make sense to me.

If we could keep to ourselves and take care of our own the next time a country has a problem I wouldn't see those videos of people saying "we want America to help us....where is America....we need help". Sorry, we have our own problems and have been restricted to stay within our own borders. Time to help yourself.professor Exception would be floods and famine.

Futark: Blix never claimed it was a breach he merely stated that they were reluctant to cooperate.. they did however finally give access to designated areas of interest.

Blix said the Iraqi cooperation was improving however, was "not immediate and, at times, they tried to attach conditions." UNSC Res 1441 said it was their last and final opportunity and the cooperation "must be immediate and unconditional."

Futark: The UN did not accept that there was a breach of the ceasefire and they did not approve US claim for 1441.

Whether they accepted or not, they were told there was a breach and, they had already provided for the action to take place in 1441 with 'any means necessary' and it being Iraq's 'last and final opportunity.'

Like you figure there should be another resolution saying 'this really really really is your last and final opportunity ....... really. ....

we mean it this time. Really.rolling on the floor laughing

I would agree. Get out of Europe, reduce troops dramatically in Korea, close down many of the bases on foreign soil. Let people take care of themselves. We paid 80% of the costs for the Libya mess. (per tv reports) What do we get out of it... a bunch of crap.

Unsuccessful in as much as you're probably preaching to the converted, but I for one, agree with that which you have said.

Yes, it does make sense.- If you restrict yourselves military inside US,to whom you gonna sell your military hardware???? You bombing and rebuilding their infrastracture,so the US military industry sell their goods, and US and other countries companies, get involve in rebuilding the infrastracture you have bombed. No country can live in part or total isolation, global trade is a must.handshake

Boban1: What was really Gaddaffi`s crime
How y "crazy" Moemer el Gaddafi (as it always shows the West), can be seen from the fact that he has united all the tribes, especially the two major ethnic groups in Libya why Libya has always had to be divided into two administrative parts. Gaddafi has made a strong unitary state. Contracts with foreign oil companies made ??so that most of the money from the oil remained in Libya to the benefit of the people, by the major oil companies was 100 percent state owned. Oil production was reduced to just one dollar per barrel, while in other countries and the price went over $ 100.
stop talking rubbish, you always have to be the odd one out, you resemble china and russia there the ones who are always against
