wash2u: Had dinner with my daughter tonight for her birthday at the Westernport Marina (Hastings, Vic). She scrolled through her iPhone for a song that would be appropriate. She has over 300 on her phone

Anyway, it was Happy Birthday Helen. What else for my little girl.

Hi Washwave

That is nice... I hope you had a great night out...

cheers. wave

one thing about living near a flower production area, whenever you feel blue, you walk in choose the flowers of your choice, mine are usually roses and place them in a vase, it's amazing how such a silly trivial thing can make you feel so much better....

cheers for that. I was in two minds on the subject and I didn't want to put any thought into the subject.

Why did I start this post?

Mainly because when flowers bloom, good times are with us. As JPY sang "Spring is in the air."

When I joined this site, it made me feel better. Getting some interaction with other people. It has been good. I have read a lot of posts, and like many, disagree with some but that is human nature.

What you sow is what you reap. handshake comfort peace hug

My flower are outbouquet bouquet garden is looking good (needs lots of pruning on the bushes) so good times are coming.

well said Wash, we all have two choices, to look for the positive or the negative.

It is such a beautiful time in the year in the garden, and it can also be the same in our own lives if we chose to make it that waybouquet bouquet bouquet

I used to pick wildflowers for a living, back in the late 80s,
If you walk down to the beach and look at the water to the horizon that is how it is here in WA when looking at wildflowers, as far as the eye can see fields of endless colour!

The flowers are never gone!

I have travelled through the Great Victoria Desert during one August after a bit of rain in the July and the flowers were like carpet on the ground. Solid beds stretching out as far as you could see.

In all my years of visiting the deserts of Australia, August has to be the best to see it come to life.bouquet bouquet bouquet bouquet

Heya Washoo, It is always a great time of year here in paradise.

In September, here in Brisbane, the Jacarandas bloom. There is no other tree like it anywhere in the world (but the Flamboyants in the carribean come close) The city has been purple for the last two months, but the blooms are falling off now. So now the parks have changed from green to purple... only a few more days till the start of summer...

I love summer...
