yeah i havent had that before, but i can say i know i would hit the ground. in my dreams i completely die as i think, i stop breathing and i feel my self drift off and then everything goes black for what feels like hours. still trying to work out this. i dont believe in a god but i do think there is more

Not hard at all. Death follows life, not the other way around. The whole concept of life after death is a scam perpetrated millenia ago to scare people into submission by some cunning individuals. What's amazing is this myth has lasted so long. I can only conclude it is such an effective scam that it will probably continue being used on weak, gullible people for the foreseeable future.

Some people are so preoccupied with the question of life after death, they complete miss out on having a life before death.

There are countless books and studies and personal accounts of people who have died and returned to tell about it. When my Dad died he came back in a dream to tell me that he was OK and safe. Same thing happened when my Mom died but that dream was even more intense and let me know that for sure she was on the other side. The OP mentioned about all the innocent people dying and why so I guess I can mention my opinion on that one too. I think that since all humans have free will to choose good from evil and vice versa there will always be suffering and pain in this world. After all, if we were all forced to do good and to love God that wouldn't be real at all... love has to be freely given and goodness has to be a choice from within our own souls. So why would there not be an afterlife? What proof does anyone have to say that once dead we just rot and go to nothing but blackness? If you look at it like this then I would say there is a lot more evidence that people move on to another plain once dead than there is evidence that we just die and rot.

I think the soul is eternal. We incarnate over many lifetimes. Some souls to continue work they are destined to do (think Einstien) Some to learn lessons that send us farther along our evolutionary path. I believe we evolve as a species as well as individuals.

And I also agree that there is something beyond this mortal coil. Having had an out of body experience when I was a teenager set me off on a path of discovery and enlightenment that continues today. If I can inhabit two bodies at one time (well okay only one at a time because as I was conscious in my astral body I was deep asleep in my physical body). If I have two bodies (one on each plane of consciousness) if only follows that I have a body on each plane of consciousness. When I die on this plane (the physical plane) I still have the other bodies available and will inhabit the body to which I have grown spiritually in this lifetime. I am sorry for atheists as when they die they are all dressed up and now where to go (just kidding).
