How about starting from condemning the colonisation of soverign countries, occupying land and resources, and immediately stopping support all wars on foriegn soils. Stopping of poking finger and nose into other nation's affairs?

I think the benefits of 9/ll is to have electrified the peoples interest in what is happening in the world. It has aroused public apathy which 'had hollowed out our democracy and handed power to a small clique of party machine men'(Mark Latham, 'THe Latham Diaries'). Unfortunately, it seems we are still waking up, a bit groggy, a bit lost.... we are observing what divides one from the other rather than actively seeking our nations interests through political activism at the grassroots. This is our nation to change. Our world to change. Remember the original ideals of representative democracy? Now, what do we want to change here? Americans? take the stage here. Tell us what you would want to change in the current system ?

i think everyone, and that includes nations of people, deserve the right to be free from political, economic, religious, and other forms of interference. There needs to be respect for the borders of nations. There are nations different from one another. This is a beautiful thing, its what has driven tourism. Why try to make everyone the same?! we are not the same. But we do exist in 'groups' of similar beliefs and values. We ought to preserve and be proud of our (groups) beliefs and values and guard them as we would our life for within them hold our identity and our dignity as human beings. TaotehChing

Conrad73: from your link! "The matter is currently being assessed by a joint assessment team to determine the facts," a spokesman for the 130,000-strong International Security Assistance Force in the country said.
A United Nations report last week said the number of civilians killed and injured in the Afghan war had risen for the fifth year in a row, lifting from 2,790 in 2010 to 3,021 civilian deaths in 2011.
Most deaths were caused by insurgents, the report said, but civilian deaths due to NATO air strikes also rose nine percent to 187, and were the coalition's biggest civilian killer.Doing the Twist again,Sunshine?
Here some info for youuuuu and read, readdddd grandpa readddd grandpa, use some new glasses maybe you can understand this graph below

bestbefore: I see you ignored the first post re Syria. As a freedom fighter I thought this would be of the utmost importance to you as these people are fighting for freedom too,but from a corrupt regime.Nothing to do with Americans or the UK but plenty to do with Russia and China.
Civil replies only please Firs.
i am busy now,i will replay you later, sure i am interested to talk about this,AND who is supplying the insurgency
sure glad the Insurgents aren't killing anyone! You still need to explain the discrepancy between Civilians killed by Taliban and Allies! Can't? Thought so! Seems it is OK by Taliban to kill any number of their own,yet when a Civilian gets killed by NATO you all crap all over yourselves!
Sad!
And that goes for Karzai as well! Hope the Taliban will have mercy on that Schlappschwanz!
I just feel bad about what they will do to the Afghan-People again! But that seems not to concern you Guys!

Will you ever stop lying papa-smurf? Nato is bringing weapons and amunitions supplies into the region for the buyers.
How come opium production which was zero under taliban regime is flourishing under Nato supervision?
I mean how come supplies of amunition reached the taliban for over 10 years to fight world's greatest army (Nato) with the best techonology known to mankind? Unless they smuggled themselves to keep the conflivct alive?
