wysterious1: The most common question asked on dating sites is "so - what are you looking for?" I know what I don't want but do any of us know what we really do want and are our expectations realistic?

I thought I knew, now I am no so sure ...

I do know whatever I do next, I want it to be right and hopefully final ...

Isn't that just another way of a person looking for 'the one'. I have met a few guys that bounce continuinely - i put it done to them being battlescarred from previous relationships. I have no choice but to bounce too because the choice is not up to me in that situation. When we were all younger - the majority of us would have had more than one new encounter - its all part of the process isn't it?

maybe sometimes that's the case .. I have two female friends that just choose to date .. As soon as it LooKs like getting serious they bail ..

Mind you seems they always have another on the go, so yeah some are just serial daters finding their jollies in the unknown I suppose .. I am sure there are many more like these two ...

I don't believe anymore in that idea of that "one" .. There are many, I am sure, though I am still yet to meet one ... lol

If I cant find many, how can I find one .. confused

Its why window Shopping was invented. In Amsterdam Window Shopping is the most interesting experience. laugh

daydream wonder if the term Window Shopping has been around longer than windows.

But

Many Anthropologists theorise that early man was not a monogonist. That the female submitted to mate with any male who was in the mood.
This was trait to ensure the longevity of the tribe. It didn't matter who sired the young as long as young were sired to continue the tribe.

We never forget our history, and maybe in some of us this gene to mate willy nilly is too strong for them to deny.

Just a theory.

Interesting though - we dont have the tribe to cater for caring for the young ones. But it is said that variety is the spice of life - curry anyone?
