Perth is a beautiful place to live - I have just moved to the outskirts of Perth - it is God's own country...I went to NZ last year - now that is an amazing place - made me wonder why all the Kiwis come to Aus - was told it was for the money lol.
Hello Ladies....it has been a while. I got a random email saying someone had sent me a request...some american serviceman lol....but I thought I would check out the forums...they kept me sane when I needed it most lol.
And we are all so paranoid about the sun that now many people are getting ill from being vitamin D deficient - the doctors are sitting back rubbing their hands with glees - imagining all the kickbacks the big pharma companies will give them for prescribing vitamin d medication - which was originally free courtesy of sunlight!!!
My eldest daughter who was 23 today is 9 years younger than her husband - they married when she was 20 they are expecting they second baby anyday now - and they are blissfully happy together - age is not important if the two people involved are happy with each other
The kindle has Whispernet - you can connect just about anywhere - you dont need anything other than your kindle. You do have to have your credit card linked to your amazon account. There are thousands of books that are public domain and cost nothing to download. I think the most i have paid for a just released book was $14. I would usually pay about $50 for the new hard cover version. Kindle also allows you to try a chapter of a book before you buy it. The kindle also has the facility to read the books to you - it does sound robotic but i guess that will improve with technology.
I have had a Kindle fro over a Year - absolutely brilliant. After seeing mine, my niece and daughter both got one. Had a friend got an ereader from China off the internet for $60 - absolute nightmare!!! Kindle is easy to use, easy to read - I love it - and so do my bookcases coz they were groaning under the weight of all my books.
For me Terry Pratchett is a showstopper - his books are set on the Discworld which floats around space atop four elephants standing on the back of a turtle. I have read and reread his books so many times I feel like the characters are close friends....well, actually they are now.
