daggyone: I think if the cold feet is a happening to you every time someone messages you, or you can't drag yourself out to a social club or over 30's disco, maybe the old fashioned method of dating could be for you.
This involves telling all your friends and family that you're single, available and if they know of anyone who they consider reasonable for you, to set up a dinner or party where you can meet and maybe hit it off.

I have to admit, that i really hope my friends never get that kind of idea and fix me up with a blind date just because I m single.
Friends can be sooooo wrong when it comes to what you are really looking for.

The more dates you have, the closer you are to getting to the Mr. Perfect you're looking for. The internet is so virtual and having no tactile surfaces to brush up against can make for a cold and sterile dating experience where you never get to actually touch someone - kiss.Friends can be sooooo wrong when it comes to what you are really looking for.

I suppose it depends on if you regard dating sites like this as a way of introducing yourself or if you regard it as your only means of contact.
For me it is a means of introduction, to have a chat, get to know a little bit about each other, then to work out a way to meet.
