Music alway sounds better when the player feels his music and puts his emotions into it.
My niece was always top scoring on her technical ability with the piano but she could never put the emotion into it to make you "feel" the music.

Now I am just really jealous that you lived in Spain... wow, I went there 2 years ago this easter, I stayed with Solsticmoon in Valencia area..Did the Benidorm CS meet, then drove to Barcelona for a couple of days... That was fantastic... but I was not there long enough to see much more than Guadi cathedral, and shops, squares... Gosh, what a fantastic city.. I def need to go back for much longer..
I spent the night watching the Flamenco dancing in the local cafes..( on google.) Just need to go back and see it for real.

Visited a friend in Benidorm in 2010 and all my Spanish came flooding back after 25 yrs!! I still think in Spanish sometimes, some words just sound better.
