Do you give money to the various door bangers at your door asking for handouts ala "Help Africa " etc ? ...we have on the whole about one a mnth ...seeking humanitarian econimical help ...my question is ...those who are behind this ...are they doing it for free ...( yeah ,the door knockers are ) but the rest ????

I think we all know the answer to that, but same as anything, if we just sit on our hands and refuse to help, donate, whatever, out of cynicism then the chance of anything happening is zero.

If you are in business then profits are essential otherwise you don't have a business.
But ........ if you make oodles of money, like billions, then I think you owe it to society to put some back to good causes whether it be medical research, the arts, education, helping people have access to something as simple as clean water?
As an individual there is only so much money you need to live, enjoy the pleasures of life, only need so many houses so why not?

Western society could learn a lot by putting themselves into the 3rd world persons shoes and living how they do. You'll soon realise you don't need a 3rd 50" plasma in the games room, an appliance to make hot chocolate, cook your popcorn, hot dogs, an ab doer, a pair of zumba sticks etc, etc...
Life there is so much more basic, but people are happier and smile more than westerners.
Maybe less is more and life is a lot less complicated that way.

why do you say Western society could learn allot from 3rd world countries? Don’t forget we were there once living those lives and now we have found joy in having a 50” plasma TV.

There was no signs of frustration or stress, people just seem more content with their lot and back here, we have everything we need and more, but all you see are stressed out people with sour puss expressions.The human brain or any life in general will find happiness under any situation if that’s all it knows.
