and here is my answer for the next two

Respect, condition of being honoured, esteemed, respected or well regarded, attitude of admiration with always-courteous expression of views.

Act like a lady, a nice lady, a woman of refinement, worthy as the mistress of a household, who holds a formal and respectful quality, courteous, somewhat royal and noble person.

Many women would suggest that it's difficult to find a man who would bring those qualities to the surface ..

In other words, a man who would treat a lady like a lady.

for me respect is a two way street, you cannot get respect if you do not give it....

an example of this is a teacher "commands" respect, but if they talk down to a student seldom will a student respect them, same goes in real life

But only a lady, not something else, had enough of those

I think if you have to look for them you will never find them.

I have met a few throughout life, real "Gentlemen". And honestly I think there might be a few on here, just maybe not the ones people would think are real gentlemen.

You dont have to search for them, they show themselves up in everyday life, if you are looking for them wine and not disregarding them for your own expectations

Now there is a catch 22. A Good Lover Uesually needs a good Teacher. It also infers plenty of experience. Which raises the question of future fidelity. kiss

serene56: Please define 'honesty'

No one should want Honesty. What one doesn't know takes less risk in being hurt.

There is also a difference in depths,or should that be shades of Honesty.

All I'd ask for is someone who will take responsibility for there actions/choices when called upon to do so.

Honesty always comes back to the age old example of "Do I look fat in these" And other such situations. The answer given will always depend on what the other seeks from the person asking the question.

Also How many of us actually want an Honest answer to "Do I look fat in these". Most of us are subconciously aware we are fat. But we want to be lied to to soothe our egos.

Well for what it's worth, you don't look fat in those ok roll eyes laugh

The reason I asked for the word 'honesty' to be clarified is I wondered how many people were using it as a euphamism for 'fidelity'..
