Ok here's the thing drinking

I'm tired of my location and there's really nothing here for me, entertainment-wise or anything else-wise .. it's pretty yeah but so are many other places.

My job I can do anywhere..

My son has been living with me for the past two years, he needs support for reasons I won't go into on here, and it's becoming more and more apparent that finding suitable accommodation for him is not going to happen anytime soon.

My daughter, her husband and five year old son live in innercity Sydney. She is employed part-time and doing a uni degree, he is in IT management and the little one goes to school nearby.

They are paying off a mortgage while I rent.

We're all jaded, tired of the treadmill, and need some ideas about how we can put our heads together, make a better life for us all, relocate most probably, but generally pitch in together and make some money, for us, instead of someone else for a change thumbs up

I'm throwing it out there for your thoughts and comments, let's just assume that anything is possible and take it from there grin

Many thanks bouquet

Thanks anyway merri, I know it's a big question hug

I just know through reading many of your posts, and those of others on here, that you are very knowledgeable people and any feedback would be appreciated wine

It's all hypothetical at this stage of course.

You could easily start a business like mine, you need a busy central business town that services smaller tourist towns and a reasonable lease term to get established, my profit after expenses is $80,000, could be more if I did online sales.

I know down here that Rosebud needs a business like this.

My thoughts are that I would put in a larger proportion of the work involved, given her parenting duties and uni studies, therefore I would command a greater proportion of the profits.

Appreciate your input daggy ..

There is a growing service industry due to the retiree boomers.
Obviously anything retirees need done now will only be amplified in the near and present future.

You know, our thoughts were more concentrated on the service industry, even those services that already exist can be done better in a lot of instances?

Retirees are a market we hadn't considered hmm hmmm

We've discussed services aimed at the high-end client, those bored, pampered women who live in the city, are supported by their partners, have a couple of kids who are in daycare while Mum goes off to the gym, beauty salon etc..

Anything expensive, organic and trendy my daughter reckons laugh

We need to look at the big picture, one of us needs to relocate, and I'm up for it ..

when it come to retirees, anybody can start a business similar to an existing business and there is no need to compete on price as the market grows in size, you are really just taking up the flow over that the existing businesses can't handle.

This area would be ideal for that, basically people selling their 5 bdr properties in Sydney and buying something waterfront here for a fraction of the price.

The aged care industry is huge here too.
