has been found guilty and sentenced to death by hanging. He gets 1 appeal within 10 days and death in 30 days. They certainly don't waste any time!! I have to say that he is definitely getting what he deserves!

Exactly....I was actually pretty impressed that they are taking him out so soon. Why invest time and money on someone you are just gonna put to death? I'm glad he is finished, although unfortunately, there will be another "bad apple" right behind him.

Hanging or a life sentence will make no difference in the age old comflict between the Sunnis and Shias. The strife will continue throughout our lifetime.

He must not die for two reasons.
If he gets killed he will be a martyr. The last thing that the West wants is an uprising in the name of a dead martyr.

Secondly, killing another human being is not right unless you are in mortal danger yourself.. He has been adjudged as guilty. There is no contention.

But is this the proper way to deal with him?

He will be more powerful in death than he will be in life.

He will not suffer the way he tortured and murdered his victims.

Should he?

lets just hope there is no one that is able to join these two groups and aim their collective anger against the West!

Whether Suuni or Shia, it will happen to some degree. You are right in saying that he will be a martyr to many. Life in prison would show him to be just human and so much less in the minds of his followers.

But the worrying thing is that no one in power will realise this.

Time after time, ruling powers make the same mistakes.

Martyrdom is a regular thing. The suicide bombers go to prove that!

You cannot punish someone who is dead.

However the pen is mightier than the sword. Anything can be said in the name of a dead person.

Look at the Bible!

There may be someone ... who knows?

Then I recommend we all retire to Nepal, Newfoundland or New Zealand, and pretend to be Yetis, polar bears or sheep!!!

Yeah, that's been discussed and I predict the threat level going up as soon as he truely gets his sentence.
