but my reading of those rules just now, possibly could be said to imply the seller has 48 hours to decline, at the moment seller has sent you a counter offer, that could be read that the seller hasn't declined, and maybe (i not saying seller can) but maybe seller still has x hours to accept your $20 offer

say nothing, do nothing

Merriweather: Thanks for your reply, but can I just say... no thanks.. and withdraw the offer..?

Just leave it, if he wants to come down in price he will get back to you... also how much is the postage???? or is it free delivery.
Its better to try before you buy anyway.

i checked bunnings web site and they didn't have them

the point i am trying to make is merri made an offer, which might or might not have been declined by the seller sending back a counter offer.
Merri standing on eBay could be at stake, i think unless the seller has actually declined her offer in the received response better to wait out the 48 hours

Pebbs, wave hi ah.

I know its heaps of carrying on here, but this has been a real learning lesson for me... partly because I have never been on Ebay before, and secondly because Rob also found me a shop not too far away from me that sells new ones for $30... the one on Ebay is second hand, and quite grotty too... except it looks like it could and has handled some heavy work... and its also not very far to go and get it.

All in good fun... learning that is...

if you go back through this thread, we already know Super Cheap Auto sell one for $39 and another model for $29 so you got robbed mate.

Merri had an opportunity to not place her offer however thought she preferred the rustic one on eBay as had shorter handles so continued and placed the $20 offer for it.

In hindsight i think be better to buy one Super Cheap Auto offer has they both have better wheels than the coffee table type wheels the eBay one has

However the offer has been made and maybe there could be adverse consequence effecting her eBay membership if the seller pops up and accepts the $20 offer prior to the 48 hours seller has to decline

i think its was made to carry a heavy gas bottle, think you'd find the wheels are made of solid steel.
In hindsight the larger pneumatic wheels be better for navigating steps, having said that the rustic looking one is shorter.
Merri I'll pay the twenty bucks if you get caught with it...

sort of came across that way, merri actually preferred the rustic trolley at the time, though your correct to a degree, won't know that answer until its played out
The Super Cheap Auto ones might/probably have plastic wheel rims, they may or may not manage the heavy posts merri wants to move, whatever, merri made her own decision not me or anyone else, i think we both enjoyed playing with the trollies
