@Glengirl: There definitely is a good smattering of socially inept people here, in general, on the site. A few sociopaths thrown in aswell. More than you'd get by a random number off the street. All you have to do is go up to the Int. forums. Half of them should be locked up. And one or two here.

who would you have locked up from here?i think people who have experienced one or more of the above are in all walks of life..they just dont have it plastered in their forehead for u to see..
on the net people open up and tell stuff..

There are a lot of people on here around 35 - 50, if you're single at that age you just didn't have plain sailing all your life
Reason I joined was just curiosity, having a good few laughs here on the forums thats why I stayed on. And I think you have a bigger share of single parents on here because it's harder for them to go out which is fair enough.

I'm not saying people join sites like this because of their past problems, more, do they feel that this is the best way for them to meet someone because of them
Fifi, I take your point about people in the real world not having it plastered on their forehead, but by the same standards, people don't plaster it on their profile on here, it just comes out in conversation......a lot

I do agree with Dog though as there is certainly a couple of sociopaths around, at least 1 here and a couple in the Inters.
jimbo79: i have suffered depression on and off over the years but it didn't play a part in me joining, my initial reason for trying online was i was afer the ride, and didn't have as much time to get out as i had my child a good bit

Fair point. And a valid one - wasn't sure what you meant at first.
I know somebody who has epilepsy. He prefered to put it on a dating site profile rather than hide it or try to explain it early in a relationship.

Ah I know where you're coming from. I've never seen so many 'window lickers' in such a small area. I suppose in real life we all find pubs, clubs, friends to suit us whereas in here we're all lumped under the one roof. In fairness there are a few I wouldn't let out on the street with a crash helmet and their bodies wrapped in cotton wool...
