I do not have a problem adding people who I have had some kind of contact through mail, flowers or comments in the forums or something but I receive A LOT of friend request from people that havent even read my profile and it is very annoying most of the time I delete them

A nice feature in CS would be - auto block someone who makes a friend request if I haven't first replied with a mail.
I also would like to be able to auto block if someone contacted me without a photo. It could be false, but at least it's a photo.

Great suggestions, i wholeheartedly agree...it's very annoying getting contacted by people as friend requests who i've not at least spoken to/contacted before. And if you can't bother to show me a picture (whatever picture that is, it's up to me to verify if it's true or not...google image search is wonderful

apparently some use the friends feature, when they can't use the emails, flowers to contact someone...
Recently read that as advise given to one person.. however, this person was well known on the forums...
It's interesting how we want to communicate with someone, but because of unscrupulous people, we tend to tighten the security surrounding our emails etc., damned if do, and damned if don't...

Another aspect of having a lot of "friends" on your profile is, if I see a lady I'm attracted to and look at her profile and see a whole bunch of male friends pics, I come to a full stop and don't bother contacting her. That tells me she's just a flirt and I'd be wasting my time. I imagine the same goes for women.

no!!!!... but if I wanted to contact someone via email and I couldn't, I wouldn't think of using friend request to get around it either....
