Just setting the record straight.

It just went up in Florida by 8 cents last night. Something about the Iranians wanting to shut down the Strait of Hormuz.......

Just what does Obama have to do with the price of gas?

For that matter, let's look at the price of gas during his term.

When Obama entered the White House in January 2009, the city average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was $1.79.

Just 5 months later, in June 2009 the price was $2.26 per gallon, and by December 2011, the price was $3.28, an 83 percent increase from January 2009 when Obama took office.

So if the administration controls the price of gas, as you suggest, it seems they have gouged consumers throughout their entire term, and it isn't at all surprising that they would engineer a seeming dip in gas prices just as elections are approaching.

Apparently they count on people being stupid and forgetting their dismal track record.

If it goes down a lot it may get back to where it was when obama came into office. We are getting increases in US production, that's on private lands, obama has almost eliminated drilling on public lands. Figures, the government investments in alternate energy (as the president wants) are going bankrupt and costing taxpayers millions so why wouldn't he try to limit production of oil to promote his desire for alternate energy?

Why do democrats ignore facts? I find that they all do, I guess that's what they have to do to be a democrat.

Only went up here two cents, guess we're closer to refineries and sources of oil.
