In saying that I rented a room in my house in the UK to a guy I knew and worked with. Had to drag him off his girlfriend one night as he was beating her up so what do I know

This could be an innocent advertisment, however I would advise anyone with children, whether taking in a lodger or starting a relationship to do some kind of police check. Yes if its a relationship it seems very unromantic to do so, however your children have to come first.
