How do we know they are non players? Everybody would do anything to get girls attention, and when the girl start to falling, then uhhhhmmmm they would "this is not what I am looking for" and left like never said things before.... ouchhhh

I've adopted four dogs in total, one stray and three from the pound.
I made choices. I didn't adopt the bullmastiff with bits of school uniform between its teeth, I didn't adopt the hysterical yappy little thing who might have driven my neighbours to have a word with my landlord.
Every single dog I've had has caused me some problems settling in, which I reckon takes about 6 months to a year before they start to feel completely relaxed about my commitment to them.
It made me think about how much of 'love' is to do with choice: I made an appropriate choice and then I stuck with it. I chose these dogs and I chose to love them. Come what may, we'd work things out and they were not going back to the pound.
Whilst I understand human interaction is a little more complex, I still think there's an element, or some elements of choice. If each of us has some level of choice and 'love' isn't something that randomly happens to us that we have absolutely no control over (isn't that a bit odd to think this might happen?), then each of us can choose for ourselves who and how we wish to 'love'. If that's reciprocated, the medium through which it happens is perhaps not the most important feature.

So why are there so many dating sites out there
Of course on line dating works. If you are not prepared to make the journey why sign up for the trip.
Yes the chances are few and far between, but for those that have managed to cross over the barriers,romance is still alive and kicking.
