I dont mind getting mail from all over the globe, but these talk about meeting me etc wanting to get to know me on a more intimate level, how would that work? They are like thousands of miles away from NZ...just wondered if anyone has actually jumped on a plane to meet you?

Only in a car. Drove all the way from Saudi here. But I flew overseas So if they're willing to do that why would you mind?
NOT LONG AGO I ENDED A THREE YEAR RELATIONSHIP WITH A WOMAN IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC. I TRAVELLED WHEN I COULD AND WE USED SKYPE EVERYDAY. WE WERE SUCESSFUL FOR THAT TIME.
Yes, when I was living in the US, I had a 3 year relationship with a Brit and we flew back and forth, alternating. The flights were actually pretty cheap.

Yes. And I felt like it was a big responsiability on me Am not sure but don't think I would do it again. I take responsiability and people very serious. And when it did not work out I felt really bad. He was a great man. Really nice. Not bad looking. It was personality differences that was our problem. I thought I had covered every area in life before he came over here. Hindsight now I know you cannot cover everything on line some things need to be covered in person. I have heard of many success stories. So if you think it is something that you might be open for then try and see. I think we both had a good time while he was here. There was just not the connection we were hopeing for. We remain friends and that is one thing you cannot have to many of.

The furthest distance I've done was approximately 1000 miles in driving distance (750 as the crow flies), NH - NC.
At present I am talking to a Filipino who is here in NH staying with her daughter helping with a 2 month old grand-daughter.
After the NC bit, I won't go outside NH for a relationship. Far as I'm concerned, LDR's do not work. You cannot get to know someone seeing them now and then, talking on the phone or through IM.

Yes I have, but I have heard NZ ladies are a bit cranky, is this true????
It’s possible, especially when you’re younger. It’s easier to adjust yourself to another person in younger age. When you get older, you tend to stick to your old habits. Breaking up from old habits when you’re older it’s not that easy, not to mention what it could be like to move to a foreign country and try to establish a new life new friends etc. You’d also need a new job in your new country. Long distance relationship means, either one of you has to move. If it’s tough enough to find that special one from your own country, how tough isn’t to get it to work with someone from another country. As soon as it comes to long distances, it’ll be problems.
