I can tell most of the time who is real and who is a scammer but it is hard to tell who will rude. thank you cs for letting me vent.
It could be rude. As I read your comment, I felt for you a bit, because the world does seem to have become very rude. I always like to look at both sides of an isse, as far as possible. For instance, I have caller ID. Sometimes someone I know is calling, and I see it, but I just don't want to talk. It's completely possible for me TO talk, and I have enough time. Just don't wanna. Right then, anyhow. Does this make me rude? Some people would say or think so. Is it really? Could be...Sometimes people don't have the upbringing or skills to end a call. It's kind of tough, if you think about it. Would you really have liked it if he had said, "You know what, I'm not in to talking with you anymore". While I whole-heartedly agree that he could have been polite (I suppose...) please try to understand human frailty a bit more. No one is perfect. Maybe he just couldn't find the words to say what was on his mind. Try to give people the benefit of the doubt. JMOI can tell most of the time who is real and who is a scammer but it is hard to tell who will rude. thank you cs for letting me vent.

Definitely rude. You'll never know in advance who will be rude, but you just get rid of the rude ones and keep the nice ones on your list.

That is a different story. I also do not answer the phone sometimes when I don't feel like talking and I call the people back later. In this case, he could have said: oops, I got a phonecall that I have to take. Talk to you later. It was a chat conversation, so even if he didn't have a call, he could have lied about it or said: I'm really tired, I enjoyed the chat, but I'd like to lay down or whatever. To just go away and leave someone waiting is rude either way you look at it, imo.

I have a lady friend up in MASS that I've chatted with for about 10 years. She does that to me all the time. She'll just stop talking and eventually she logs off without so much as a "see ya". She use to fall asleep. One time she hit her head on the keyboard.

Well, it goes without saying that I feel the exact same way if a woman does it. IMO, it's not a gender issue, but a matter of manners.

For whatever reason, he needed to go. Should he have told you good night or whatever? Of course. But you've got to remember that people in general are cowards. So if his reason for leaving had to do with his not feeling a connection with you, more times than not, this is the way people act.
