Perhaps its not so much "fear" as actually thinking that someone is invested into getting to know them with the same effort? Not sure how inclined I'd be to take someone "seriously" if I found they were speaking with a whole bunch of other people. It makes very little difference to me who she communicates with other than me. If she doesn't feel that I'm the one she wants to spend her time with, getting to know me, then it's her decision.
No jealousy, no insecurity, it's just the way it is, and it's also no different when a man decides the same.

I think men are no different from women in that respect. It may not be logical, but it is human to feel jealous and insecure when a person that you're seriously interested in keeps "shopping," or gives the appearance to shop.

it is the fact that she is desparate, and communicates with several, hoping to catch at least one of them.. being lonely bed at night, is very destructive too her
