The portion of the article you quoted was speaking of Integrity in our election process. It gave examples in districts and states where votes were improperly counted by failures in the machines.
In my opinion, the entire system is so corrupt that we really need to find a new one. Everyone wants to beat the system and there are those who have found ways to do it.
I am an Independant and I supported Ron Paul. Of course they found ways to keep him from winning by making believe he did not exist. He could have done lots of good for our nation and reduced the national debt. He has clean hands. Ron Paul will be missed but what he stands for will live on!!!

However, there is such resistance here, and such determination to have either/or just one of two. It makes me wonder why America is so adamant about diluting the pool of possibilities. It's ovbious to me that the repeated old ways aren't working or we might not be repeating the same messes over and over again.

Never say never, another alternative is a dominant Europe they have more gold reserves than the United States, and less commitments, if they stop the fiscal drain on them from the US, they will soon dominate world economy.
