Mariannette: I'd like to think I will. I think there comes a point when you you are open to the idea and ready to open your life, to bringing someone into it.
Glengirl: Not sure about "the one" but I'm definitely confident about finding something
I'm sure you will GG, you're a great catch.
I've become very philosophical about this whole thing. The way I look at it, I've made subtle improvements to myself recently, I've lost weight (an injury has sidelined me for a few weeks but I know I'll get back into the swing of things as soon as I can get back to the gym.)gained hugely in confidence and am a lot more sure about what I want to do with my life. I think I would find it much easier to approach an attractive woman now and chat her up. At the same time though, I refuse to be any woman's fool. I'm not going to run through any hoops to find 'the one' or even 'the one for now'.
My life is about more than just attaching myself to someone. I'm no one's other half, I'm me. I am what I am and if women expect me to change for them, they know where the door is. When I need to change, I'll change for me. I would more than welcome a kind, caring, beautiful, witty, intelligent articulate woman to share my life with, but she'll have to like me for me. I'm not going chasing anyone like a love sick puppy. There are worse things than being single, being a fraud is certainly one of them.
pedro27: so are you optimistic in finding the 'one' in 2013...?
I dont believe in the "one", I think we can love a number of people throughout our lives. Having said that I believe some people are meant to be single all their lives.
