What would you call it?

And

what words would you choose for the chorus?

The name of my song would be.

“Message in the winds”

Chorus

As I sit at the corner cafe out of the way,
away from the ocean, but close to the bay.
Spring flowers blossoming, aroma a scent
by a soft gentle wind a message was sent.

bouquet

Elvis he's a hero he's a superstar
And I hear that Paul McCartney drives a Rolls Royce car
And Dylan sings for millions
And I just sing for free
Oh everybody's makin' it big but me

Oh, everybody's makin' it big but me
Everybody's makin' it big but me
Neil Diamond sings for diamonds
And here's ole rhinestone me
Oh everybody's makin' it big but me

Well I hear that Alice Cooper's got a foxy chick
To wipe off his snake, and keep him rich
And Elton John's got two fine ladies
And Doctor John's got three
And I'm still seein' them same old sleezoes, that I used to see

Oh, everybody's makin' it big but me
Yeah everybody's makin' it big but me
I've got charisma
And personality
Oh how come everybody's makin' it big but me?

(What's wrong with that?)
(I don't see nothing wrong with it Ray)

Well I paint my face with glitter
Just like Bowie does
And I wear the same mascara
That Mick Jagger does
And I even put some lipstick on
But that just hurt my dad and mom
And everybody's makin' it big but me

Oh, everybody's makin' it big but me
Yeah everybody's makin' it big but me
They got groupies for their bands
And all I got is my right hand
And everybody's makin' it big but me

Everybody's makin' it, makin' it, makin' it
Everybody's makin' it big......

laugh

and that song up there can still make my eyes watery even today ...

Kind of sad when others have already written about parts of our lives ...

Its strange to LooK back and know all your friends, family and co-workers all knew yours was a one sided love ... YeT .. you .. yourself never seen it until some time later ... after it was all over and said and done ...

No wonder many of us are still single when I think back over some of the emotional turmoil that can come from loving another ... drinking

I know how you feel Prowler. comfort

Most of us have posted songs others wrote that resonated with them for one reason or another, rather than writing our own.
The one I posted that represents my life has no words, just a haunting Funeral March by Chopin.

It starts off with a deep, rumbling dirge, which represents the first 29 years of my life: sadness, depression, loneliness, aimless drifting.
This is followed by a beautiful, bright, melodious section in the middle, that represents the next 23 years of my life during which I met my wife to be, settled down, had 3 wonderful children, rewarding career.
The last section is like the first, the same slow, deep dirge as the beginning, slowly and softly fading to an end. This is where I am now, since I split from my wife and my kids grew up and displayed a high degree of independence. I don't want to get in their way as they forge their lives and careers, so I don't see them that often. There is no joy left in life for me as I have no friends due to an unfortunate lack of people skills. I think I may have Aspergers syndrome.
I want this song played at my funeral; not too far in the future I hope.

I totally understand what you are saying ... I spend way too much time on my own as it seems, as do you .. sometimes we are our own worst enemies, relentlessly reminding ourselves of all our own perceived failures and inadequacies ...

Mate I have learnt this is NOT how others see us ... to so many different people we mean so many things ... things we are not even aware of ... Don't under value yourself, leave that for others to do ....

Mate ... I hope your life is long and eventful as I too hope mine is ..

Take the time to learn to like yourself all over again ... I too struggle with this myself, so often, though don't give up, just keep on eXisting until once again you remember how to live ..... cool

Obsci, there is plenty of joy left in life for you, for all of us, we just have to allow ourselve; give ourselves permission to find it.

Like Prowler says, we are our own worst enemies tending to pick out our fault and ignore our strengths.

You are a lovely man, softy spoken yes, shy yes but although I have only met you once I recognised a man who has a lot to give someone.

Please dont close the door on yourself, you do have too much to giveteddybear
